East Lancs Railway says farewell to D1501

fond memories , I remember spending 6 months of my life almost every day working on D1501 at castlecroft restoring & repainting it into 2 tone green under the watchful eye of Carl Holt & watching in ore Graham Thornton applying the top coat of paint after I'd spent time prepping it for him . Some old faces ive not seen for 10 years . I really should come by the ELR again , the diesel group were very good to me during my 5 years I spent there where I learnt the craft of traditional brush painting . I believe my old work colleagues at Heritage Painting repainted it a few years back before it left the ELR & a fine job they did indeed

Excellent video and fine and fitting tribute to a fine locomotive. She will be missed.
