Yes, our church is acknowledging its roots and restoring the old traditions. But the question is, when will the church of the east go back to its roots? Church of Malabar was influenced by Latin, and are now restoring the old tradition. The Church of the East was influenced by Islam. They removed the use of icons and embraced arabic melodies and pronunciation. The old traditions needs to be restored in both our churches.

@@craig-kp6hv Your comments are not legible and not helping me to understand what you are saying. Islam was never embraced by church of the East, but it was definitely influenced by it. Islam destroyed the icons that were venerated in the church of the east, and since then, there are no icons used in the church of the east. The Khudra confirms the veneration of Icons in Church of the east. Mar Addai and Mari also confirm it. But now there are no icons used. Also the east syriac used before 14th century had no Arabic influence on it. But the Syriac used now is influenced by Arabic.
