I love your composition so much. It's really epic. I plan on making something epic myself. Thanks for the inspiration.

I have Opus,can we add custom user presets to our preset banks? Or export?

how do you open opus within ableton?
@ryanmills67512 жыл бұрын
If you have the VST setup correctly you should be able to see it under "Plug-Ins" on the left then you drop it on a MIDI track just like any other VST, and inside Opus you set the instrument. At least that's how I'm using it.

Yes

I believe so

Yes, but speed can be a factor, if the drive is slower it will need to put more into RAM to cache it and use more CPU to process it. It can be a catch-22 if you don't have enough RAM. So if you are using a few instruments, it won't matter, but running 20 may not work.

Yes, you can put it on an external. I have the EW Installation Center on both my desktop and my laptop. On the desktop, it's not a problem. It's a 40TB (26TB of which are SSD) and 128GB RAM behemoth, so there's plenty of room for my entire collection of sample libraries. For my laptop, I keep almost all of my sample libraries on a Samsung 8TB SSD. The drive is meant to be installed into a desktop, but I bought a nifty adapter from Amazon that I insert the SSD drive into. This adapter (with the SSD drive inside) then connects to my laptop via USB. Works like a charm. It's benchmarks aren't as fast as an internal SSD, but it's fast enough that I experience no lag. Do it this way turned my former 2TB SSD, 2TB HDD laptop into a 10TB SSD, 2TB HDD, 64GB RAM monster!! Of course you'll need two USB slots available on your laptop to do it this way. One for the external SSD and one for the i-Lok dongle that EW requires.

@@NorthWoodsCountryBoy Do not listen. If you're starting out with creating cinematic, orchestra and film scoring pieces. This subscription to East West is a huge help in aiding the sound you would like to make. I think it's the best and affordable! :)

@@NorthWoodsCountryBoy I would absolutely agree. Almost every time I open up my software to compose something, there will always be an issue with Composer Cloud - instruments won't load, no sound, license issues - there's always something. No issue with other libraries. Absolute waste of money.
