Thank you, it is a big subject but will do something in a bit more detail later on.

Awesome stuff, man! I do not know any music theory or have any formal training/education on orchestration, but I can definitely see this being a fantastic tool for even the most ignorant (me lol) of a composer/producer!

Thanks, I am working on another one that will help with this.

That was a cool experiment. I'm still waiting for all my libraries to download. It's going to be a week! lol I reckon once you come up with a full chord progression as a song, you can have different instances of orchestrator on several other tracks, then you just comp slices of the progression (midi chord clips) out to selected orchestrator tracks. Then add some topline melodies over everything or whatever. I can't wait to try it all out.

Yup. New video coming soon with some better examples.
HI Phil, greetings from Tokyo. I'm currently doing the same as you and having a blast...literally! I should say trying to as I keep crashing all the time. But on the whole agree with you. I might be able to get around to putting something up fairly soon too. Good luck with the channel subbed and liked. Keep safe. K-MD

interesting quick video on orchestrator, very interested on how works the step sequencer ( how create new presets ) , how choose the perfect lowest/middle /high parameter.

Hi Sam, yes I'll get into that in the next one. This video was very rough at the edges to be honest. I almost deleted it and started again. Thanks for watching.

Are you using an 88 key keyboard or a smaller one? Is there a way to use a smaller one and map the key range to it?
@PhilPendlebury2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shawn, In the video you can see the 88 key Impakt. But tbh normally I use the Axiom Mini that is on the desk in front of me. For this instrument (Orchestrator) you really only need 1 or 2 octaves and one hand. That is kind of the beauty of it.
@shawn_bullock2 жыл бұрын
@@PhilPendlebury That's good to know. I have a 49 key but some of the notes can't be played on the keyboard, they are mapped too low in the Opus and I've bee wondering how to hit those notes from my keyboard. I've never owned a keyboard before so I'm new to all this.

@@shawn_bullock Ahh I see. I'm sure you will find that there is a way to transpose the octave on the keyboard quite easily. (Depending on the model). For example on the Axiom Air there are two buttons (- / +) on the left hand side.

@@PhilPendlebury I haven't found it yet. Do you happen to know any communities I can join for help? [edit] Found it
