I install the DROWsports LS CNC ported 2v head, the Koso 34mm throttle body and intake manifold, the Dingerbuilt titanium 34mm intake with K&N filter, and also replace my 3-row Kitaco oil cooler with the 5-row cooler that hangs off the top of the frame. dingerbuilt.bi...

Just bought a 2020 Monkey, your videos got me infected with this Monkey madness. Actually I remember when I was in Japan during the 80’s I wanted a 50cc Monkey.

1:05 If HONDA had chose to use a PAIR valve system on this model the flat part on the casting would have been drilled and tapped to connect the system and pulse air into the exhaust port.

Awesome job, lots and lots of improvements. Somewhat surprised you haven't gone with the 4 valve options out there, but there's still time later. :)

Those koso throttle bodies look neat! Loving the build so far you might wanna look into getting some more stopping power ? when ripping this baby !!

I've upgraded the rotors and pads with EBC products and stopping power seems good, but I may look to upgrade further in the future.

He man I just want to tell my appreciation for you channel, been watching a lot of you the last few days! And I’m curious what you ended up doing with the breather hose? The way it was connected before would imply it needing vacuum so I wonder if you got any faults because of that?

Great video ! .... I really appreciate the info sharing ... I recently installed 170cc, 2 valve big bore on my 2019 Monkey ....Heads-up / FYI, Watch your oil temps Brother .... I found I was getting inadequate oil flow by routing the oil cooler lines to the big bore ports versus the ports on the clutch cover .... Again - Great videos and thanks for sharing! Keep them coming!

Thanks, on the rides I've done since the install, I've noticed my temps are higher than normal (when I expected lower with the bigger cooler and better placement); I've ordered the parts to build the SS lines and will switch back to the ports on the clutch cover.

Glad to help.... Your videos have been a tremendous help / info source....I kept seeing oil temp readings in the 280 range... I have a “4 row” oil cooler (Mnnthbx)... Actually, I showed my mechanic your orig. oil cooler video install....That’s what prompted us to investigate / relocate the lines to the clutch cover ports.... I’m hoping to have my bike back by the weekend....thanks again for cranking out your Monkey videos man! Good stuff!

Do you have to swap out the stock injector at all? Never mind, saw it in your build after I posted the comment, nice job, looks awesome.

What is the stock mm size on Honda Monkey cylinder head intake port? Could it be "bolt on" fitted with a 28mm tb and intake throttle? Without machining cyl head intake port? Would it make it better or worse with a better filter in the stock airbox? Or does the stock cam and valves restrict the flow the most or what does? At least the exhaust side seems to be adequate at stock, ppl are not really gaining a thing changing their exhaust pipes to stock or almost stock monkeyes.

Looks cool. If I was to get the bigger throttle body will the man in the box intake fit on the throttle body
@eastcoastish
@eastcoastish 4 жыл бұрын
It won't fit. The inner diameter of the MNNTHBX intake is 1.5" the size you need for the Koso TB is 2"

Awesome build so far look forward to what you have in store in the future. What was your reasoning for using the ported OEM 2v head instead of going with a 4v from Takegawa or someone else. And may be a stupid question but ive seen the aracer standalone you've used previously, is there a reason you went back to the OEM one which was reflashed?
@eastcoastish
@eastcoastish 4 жыл бұрын
I'm still using the aRacer RCMini5 w/AF1 WB module. I may have said that I "reflashed" it meaning that i did a new quickburn with stock parameters so that I could rebuild the AF mapping to suit the new parts.

With the 181 and the larger intake and throttle body will there be enough fuel with that injector? Just a thought.
@eastcoastish
@eastcoastish 4 жыл бұрын
I did go with a slightly larger injector. AFR is good so it's getting enough fuel.

What nail Polish ‘ touch up paint did you use?
@eastcoastish
@eastcoastish 4 жыл бұрын
It was actually just a Testors enamel red, but now that you mention it, between all the nail polish colors that my wife and my daughter have, I could have probably found a much closer match :p

Can I run the ported head (or is the head just for big bore bikes), intake manifold and throttle body you installed with the stock bore and see good gains?
@eastcoastish
@eastcoastish 4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you'll see some improvement with the ported head, but it won't be as drastic as it will with the big bore kit.

Why does everyone want oil coolers on their dax or monkeys, my family in thailand ride honda 110cc waves, same type of single cilinder engine stock, they have around 100k kilometres without any issues, and everyday its over 30 degress celsius. They also ride alot of dirt roads so the coolings fins are really dirty, even then they have no problems 😅
@eastcoastish
@eastcoastish 4 жыл бұрын
I can't speak for everyone else, but on this setup, the 181cc big bore kit would overheat without it. I agree that a stock honda engine wouldn't require it.
