Because she’s seeing herself as a kid in Britney’s situation, she’s taking it more personally because she knows what its like. She wants to save her from that it is selfish though, but it’s harder to turn away when you’ve been through it yourself

Whitney is the only one that cares about Brittany and its sad, those that dont understand why Whitney cares about clearly do not understand everything that Whitney has been through and why she wouldnt sit back and allow that to happen to another little girl. without Whitney, Brittany will end up worse than Whitney was at that age because she wont have someone like Bianca to save her. It has always been in Whitneys nature and Zac should have known that, it was clear back when they started fostering. if he cannot understand why she would want to save Brittany then he doesnt understand or acknowledge Whitneys past. Yes she got hit but what was the alternative to watch a child get hit by a car? this is the same kind of thing as a dangerous labour, do you save the mother or the baby...?
