@@woahkana Did Billy raise Jay? I thought that was Phil which is why Jay and Ben consider each other brothers. He's never considered Honey to be any sort of maternal figure to him. The age difference doesn't matter either; there is a similar age difference between Billy and Honey. I think Honey was 27/28 and Billy was the same age as Honey is now 44 when they 1st got together- so why are people so grossed out about the age difference between Honey and Jay? while rooting for Billy.

not the only one i've loved them together since they were getting closer and at the end of the day they aren't doing anything wrong they are just two consenting adults who gradually developed feelings for one another Honey obviously started to see Jay differently more than just a friend.

He was already a teenager when he lived with Billy- even that didn't last long then he lived with Phil. Ben became a brother to him during that time. Dawn and then Shirley were the motherly figures in his life

The issues actually took place when Jay found out about Lola and Peter Beale, he was hurt and then Honey cheered him up and when he looked at her he said thanks. Also Honey prevented Jay from beating up Peter in the first place.

Not going to lie, this situation is messed up. But they're both consenting adults and Honey has had a lot of bad experience with asshole guys (cheaters, rapists) and Jay is the first one she feels safe with.

@@grantmcroberts4089 Honey was never a mother/ maternal figure to Jay. Honey didn't raise him at all, she left a few months later. Jay was already a teenager when Jase died. Billy looked after Jay for a while, but eventually Jay went to live with Phil, which is how he developed the brother bond with Ben. Dawn and Shirley were motherly figures in Jay's life, Honey wasn't.

This show has lost the plot and the new writers should actually look into the history of the show. Honey was basically an adoptive mother and raised jai when he was a kid when Billy took him in now she wants to go out with him. Could that not get any cringier

I agree. I remember the time when Jay was a kid, Honey consoled Jay when his dad died. I don't understand why EE fans want these 2 to be together. I would prefer Jay and Whitney being together as I think they would be a good couple.
