I actually think Kat was instantly reminded of how her son was taken away from her and never knew him, and how her Mom raised Zowie with Zowie calling Kats Mom, Mom, and now, seeing the baby being taken off out of Hayley hands, there is a lot of emotion behind it for Kat. But I do think at that moment in time it probably was best for Hayley to leave with her Mom, because her Mom had her baby and that was her bargening tool. If she could, she ought to take her baby from her Mom and come back to the Slater House hold, she will get looked after and have the choice of free will. She won't get that, with Bev and having someone like Kat behind you, she will see to Bev.
