"Keep up with the times" The new 'Strapline". For someone speaking with a little life experience, this really has been badly written and played out. Harvey has been misguided but that has yet to be acknowledged and ratified. Instead, people have lept straight into the defence of Ash. Racism has always existed and will never truly just be wiped. I watched EE in the 80s where the ethnic minorities dealt with a whole new world of hatred and hostility. There is a whole lot more tolerance and acceptance now. All Ash needed to do was apologize for grabbing hold of the wrong end of the tree trunk, pay her dues and leave it at that. The real culprit of racism was the patient in the hospital and this has yet to be picked up on.

I’m sorry no, there isn’t a lot more tolerance and acceptance now days, there is just more awareness. As a black person I still get a hand full of discrimination on a weekly basis, not just by white people but people who don’t understand my culture. With this storyline I think the idea is a bit different than what people make it out to be, I think Harvey has an issue with Muslim people and thinks all south Asian people are Muslim. (I’m pretty sure ash is Sikh.) You have to be mindful what you say to people because it’s not what you say it’s how you say it that effects people. Ash has nothing to apologise for, when she was in the taxi, she said she apologised and payed for the time she was sick in the taxi. Harvey had no reason to still be disrespectful to her after that.
