Everybody saying "she didn't taste the vodka?!?!?!" dont seem to understand that once you get a tolerance you kinda ignore the taste. Once you're addicted to booze you dont notice a double vodka, if anything your body ignores the odd flavour so it can have what craves. There's alcoholics in my family and it's a dreadful thing to see somebody battle.

Around the time this storyline was going on, I was hanging with a group that was bang on the booze & gear daily. After coming home from a 3 day bender one evening my dad was watching Eastenders & I sat down off my nut. It was the episode where Lauren turned yellow from alcohol poisoning and my dad said “I know what you’re out doing. Be careful or you will end up like that.” And it planted a seed in my mind and I hung out with the crowd I was with less and less after that. Bravo to Jaqueline Jossa & Eastenders for portraying something so powerful it pierced my soul.

I see a few comments saying that it's Lucy's fault that Lauren developed a drinking problem because she added a double vodka to her lemonade. Um, that's not how alcoholism works. @Emily-bd5rb5 жыл бұрын
Tuts TheCat nah, double vodka with lemonade just tastes of lemonade to me, if it’s mixed with coke then you can taste it. Depends what it’s mixed with and how much soft drink is in it
@jaywest37344 жыл бұрын
@@Emily-bd5rb She probably tasted it but didn't give a shit.
@Adam6574 жыл бұрын
Depending on the sweetness of the lemonade, the amount of lemonade, and your own personal tolerance to pouring your own super strong drinks at home, it can be hard to taste.
@tutsthecat38264 жыл бұрын
Emily maybe some drinks heighten the tastes of alcohol and some conceal it. Like you said with coke you can tase it.

Some scenes are funny, yes. But when she turned up at Abi's party yellow in the face with her liver damaged was quite harrowing. She's so young to have nearly died from her alcoholism. But, in true Eastenders style they had to have her relapse at some point.

@missy boo. Drugs are worse than booze!? Grow the fuck up. Not all drugs are evil. I'd rather a room full of stoners than a room full of alkies. The whole "drugs are bad mkay" thing is stupid. How many die from alcohol every year? How many people are addicted to alcohol? How many lives does this legal substance take each year? A lot more than a joint or some shrooms. Sure Coke, meth, heroin etc are fucking dangerous but so is the vodka/whiskey/gin/beer sat in most people's houses.
@tanyaflanagan81114 жыл бұрын
No I won't calm down. The amount of people who think booze is an acceptable addiction is crazy, I have to see the mess that alcohol causes everyday in my job. Guess how many drunk injured people I will see this weekend.....I wouldn't be surprised if it nears the thousand mark....and I don't not work in a pub!
