Keanu's story is one of the strongest in recent years. Good, hard working lad who just wanted to help his family and not be like his dad ended up betraying everyone he knew, cheating, kidnapping and attempted murder all in an attempt to have a family he already had. He was playing with fire interacting with Sharon and Phil and he was groomed down a dark path he never recovered from. He fucked about and found out what happens.

This is a surprise, thought Nish would die but never expected Keanu. Those pictures at the airport threw me off, a nice red herring indeed. This is a clear case of self-defence but they are all going to spin it to make it worse. They just need to tell the truth, Nish attacked Suki, same with Keanu, strangling Sharon, evidence will back it up.

- KAYFABE MOMENT - To be honest, I mean this was a SHOCK considering thinking Nish would be the one dead before this ending happened, it had those vibes of what happened with Dirty Den back in 2005 when he got murdered in the Vic. Even though you can't condone Keanu for his actions recently, I felt a bit sorry for him with how things have gone for him in recent years since the whole Sheanu affair started. I mean the history is as followed: The affair got exposed, Phil and Ben set out to kill Keanu for what he did in terms of being the "father" of Sharon's baby at the time and two-timing Louise, Keanu losing all access to Peggy, was attempted to be killed by Martin, then got banished from the Square due to Phil's threats, then returned back to later be tangled in situations of access to his kids, being threatened by Sharon and even Lisa to lose access to them unless he did what they said, him losing Peggy's access for the 2nd time due to Sharon, and then obviously the bombshell he received today/tonight. But it is what it is, Keanu did wrong behaviour but I do think Sharon was the real villain in Keanu's downfall. - COMMENT ABOUT THE EPISODE - But I will say, what an incredible 12 months leading to this - EastEnders has definite got the spark back and really showed off how much they could do under the situations they had. I think the lead up to this going into 2024 is one to really watch, like how will these events affect other characters, like Bernie who is now the only Taylor in the Square, Phil's involvement, Ravi/Nish's relations and how Nish's story will be - whether he is framed for Keanu's murder by The Six, and even Dean who may have witnessed this murder and potentially has a weapon in his hands to blackmail The Six, especially with Linda - if it is true to witness and record the whole situation on his phone.

You’d look at Keanu and Sharon’s first kiss on New Year’s Day, then you’d look at this and you’d think Keanu ain’t the same character. They straight up ruined his character because let’s face it, he has stated he doesn’t want to be like his father, but does exactly what his father did to Karen to Sharon, and they made him kidnap Albie for the plot, I know for a fact he wouldn’t have done it

It was a brilliant episode but you're right that Keanu's character has been totally ruined. He was never evil or even bad. The fake kidnap was too cruel and unbelievable, just to trigger exits for him and Karen. Keanu has really been a victim: shot by Linda on New Year's Day 2020, forced into fleeing by Phil, brought back by Phil to blindside Keeble only to be almost forced into exile again by Phil, double-crossed by Lisa and Sharon to cut him off from Peggy, messed around by Sharon with access to Albie, lied to about Albie's parentage... All his misfortune is a long, continuous punishment for his affair with Sharon and everything he has done has been out of desperation to have a relationship with his children. The fake kidnap, callous disregard for Bernie, and throwing his mum under the bus are totally out of character for Keanu. Even despite that I don't see him as evil. I think he would've throttled Sharon just for being lied to about Albie's fatherhood without needing to try to turn him into a manipulative baddie.

I’m so glad Keanu is finally out of the show!!! It’s great that he got his comeuppance after all the trouble and drama he’s caused. I wonder what would’ve happened if Phil had have been there when Keanu was strangling Sharon?! Anyhow, I’m glad Phil is Albie’s dad and not that lying cheating scumbag!! He doesn’t deserve any child’s love (or to even have a child). Thank god he’s no longer in Albie’s life anymore.
