Phil's constant taunts, jibes and veering into physical abuse, and cheating on her lead Lisa to getting that gun and popping him in the back. They certainly did change Phil's personality to compensate for his brother Grant's exit, and never really looked back and he has remained obnoxious ever since.

@@Uksoapfan I'd say he's less so. He's become more clever in letting others do the work for him. He's not as nasty to women as he once was. Don't forget he used to hit Kathy. And all that with Lisa would now be classed as coercive domestic abuse. Because he used to mentally grind her down which lead to her mental health problems. He didn't allow her to go out or nothing at one stage, used to criticize how she looked. These days in soaps he would've of got his punishment and written out the show. Just shows how times have changed. They did that similar storyline in Corrie with Geoff recently. He isn't quite like that these days
