Those duffs planted the idea that Den might be Simon’s birth father, and Pat didn’t finally confirm the truth until summer 1988 (he wasn’t). I think it had to do with Den abruptly leaving the show that they dealt with that niggling doubt so quickly.

Who was their dad? I know the last name was Wicks. I started watching when the Mitchell boys were managing the barman's (Clyde?) boxing career. And stopped early 2009 episodes when EE was cut off from the States in 2021. I think Pat was married to Frank when I started watching. I'd google it but I already get too many spoilers (mostly deaths) from KZbin.

They were born during Pat’s marriage to Pete Beale but he only fathered one of them. The other was eventual second husband Brian Wicks who adopted them both

2:00 - I can’t believe she said, “He brought that coloured girl to see me.” Just wow! I was 13 when this was aired and life in London has changed a lot. No one can get away with that awful language now and to be honest, I didn’t even think it was still in use in 1986!

some black people do actually infact sometimes refer to themselfs as "coloured " so its not even that bad of a world . It would have been worse if she had said " “He brought that Ni**er girl to see me.” now that would be racist lol

@@michaelhawkins7389 No Michael. The word is ‘themselves’ by the way! Coloured was used by the likes of the racist Enoch P and his cronies in the the 60s and 70s in the UK. It is unacceptable, ANYWHERE in the UK to use the world ‘coloured’. Let’s put it to the test shall we? Next time you see a group of young black men with the stereotypical hoodies and baggy trousers, how about asking what the coloured fellows are up to? I doubt you’ll be able to finish your sentence...... LOL!!!

You are the racist one though as it’s unacceptable for a white person to use the ‘n’ word in any context. Many decent white folk will NEVER utter or write it, even in an abbreviated form. You’re probably as white and as so-called British as they come which goes a long way in explaining your inability to spell basic words from your own mother tongue. No wonder white, British boys are at the bottom of the UK education system. Too busy running around with their fake privilege, thinking they can use the ‘n’ and coloured words. Too busy doing that to get a decent education! #pitiful!

@@buyop9441 I am not british lmao . I am German and I guess English is not your native language as you have just messed up what I said , I said " It would have been worse if she had said " “He brought that Ni**er girl to see me.” now that would be racist lol" she refering to the charter .. I never fucking said the N word .idiot I was quting what the charter said , but changed to a what if she said this . as I think the N word can be more offense then saying someone is colour . hell even black Americans use to call white people honkies which was a racist term for white people

Your race chose that term. Just as you then decided to use the term 'black'. Then decided to be called 'people of colour'.
