In early 1997 He became a good character but still hardnut. But the episode that Vanessa con him was 2nd October. That was the episode Barry's personality transplant begin becoming loveable loser buffoon guy in soap history thanks bro. I believe Barry was the replacement for Nigel before Nigel left. But how about Nigel Bates came first came as a dodgy guy and him and grant tried to scheme Frank. When was Nigel changed during his early appearance in 1992.

It's bit odd seeing Barry acting tough and a dodgy guy, a bit of villian in his few early years just like they did with Minty and Nigel. But Barry personality transplant changed around February 1997 when he said to Pat that he's changed. He became a good character until he met Vanessa in July 1997. I believe he became like the buffoon loveable loser either July or September 1997. Before she conned him. If anyone knows better than me. You guys can remind me again.
