Ah the good old days 80s eastenders at it's classic best . Ian was young and slim . Sharon was a little Angie in the making . Dirty den and nana beale Martin was a baby . Michelle was preggers with vicci. Really enjoying the re runs on drama I can't remember any of them as I was born in the 80s . Make it that good again please BBC

See I think it would've been more fun if Ali was the father because he was more of a womaniser than the others.

If the internet had been around this would definitely have been spoiled beforehand. Thank goodness that this wasn't the case as I saw this ep on transmission and the reveal gave me my first genuine WTF reaction I ever got from a tv show or movie.

I too have been watching the Drama reruns. My first EastEnders storyline I remember from childhood is Michelle having the baby. I hope Drama shows loads more old ones, especially with my teen crush Sean Maguire in it as footballer Aidan Brosnan. That was in 1993 I think as he was in it for around a year I believe.

It was in the news that Michelle was going to be what they called a gymslip mum, but nobody knew who the father was, until the above episode was broadcast. At the beginning of the episode, Michelle went into a phone box and called the father and told him she needed to see him. We saw about four different actors on the telephone at the same time. Den (the father) was the first of the four. Nobody knew who the father was until Roly the poodle got out of the car. Wow! Den was revealed as the father!
