Even if Archie is telling the truth he could have chosen to be different but he didn't.

Doesn’t excuse how he was. Explains it, yeah, but doesn’t excuse it. He knew what it was like to be abused by a parent and continued the cycle.

@@thebritannicdesi4020 Archie, he raped his own daughter and forced her to give up her baby. Eric was bad, but not as bad as Archie.

Interestingly, Larry Lamb took inspiration from his own Dad, who was abusive towards him and his mother. He hated him.
