Sure, Jean isn't related to Roman. But Ruby literally doesn't have anyone. It takes a village, and the more love a child can have the better. Ruby is so spiteful and hateful that she's willing to stop her son have people in his life who would genuinely care for him. Ruby went to prison as a result of her own terrible behaviour. It was OK for her to get Stacy, a mother of 3 sent down, but not for Jean to do the same to her? Ruby keeps bringing up that no one believed she was pregnant! Has she forgotten that she spent her entire marriage lying and scheming? She needs to self reflect because everything that happened was her fault

I always supported Ruby when most people sided elsewhere. I knew Ruby's actions came from far greater needs than just Martin. Ruby is by far the most cursed character on EastEnders. I would've said Ronnie was but Ruby tops the list. From such an early life when Ruby was a child, she watched her Mother and Sister die in a housefire caused of her father's lifestyle as a crime boss. She was dragged away by Johnny through the flames while she watched them helplessly die, she tried to fight Johnny off her to save them and if that wasn't traumatic enough Johnny her father never appreciated her, never liked her his initial thought was to rescue Scarlet instead of Ruby, Scarlet being the elder sister. After tragedy struck she was sent to a mix gender boarding school with other rich snobby kids who quite possibly bullied her. Knowing Ruby she probably was one of the quiet, intelligent kids in her school. I read somewhere that she made two friends along the way but they ended up making a suicide pact, Ruby tried to save them but it was too late she ended up watching them die (really heartbreaking) and she got a lot of hate from her school so she ran away to track down Johnny in Walford where she meets Stacey Slater. At this point, she comes across a club with her sister's name on it Scarlet. She must've known her dad set up there, and then she got mugged by someone and lost her phone. Then nearly gets ran over by a car which turns out to be Tina the woman Johnny was having a secret affair with for 12 years they question her time spent with her family differently, Imagine only knowing about this as a child and then thinking about how Scarlet and Stephanie will never know that Johnny deceived them. Phil paid Juley to sleep with Ruby to get at Johnny, so her first time which was meant to be special was nothing more than a trick... harsh! Ruby discovers her dad killed Dennis and ends up getting alcohol poisoning she must've been unconscious for a while because Phil found her lifeless on the floor it took Stacey to get Phil to take her to the hospital (Stacey) mind you Johnny paid Stacey to be Ruby's friend half the time they both fell out with each other and it just questions trust given that payout. Phil felt no remorse for what he did to Ruby, Ruby did at one night throw a brick at one of the windows at the Queen Victoria pub which Phil ran after Ruby but let her go soon afterwards. Let us see... what else... yes! Ruby discovered Johnny's crimes and when Johnny was pointing a gun at Phil and Grant she stepped in to tell him to stop and confess to the police of his crimes which he did. Sean treated Ruby horribly and was responsible for Johnny's heart attack on Ruby's 18th birthday while Johnny was on the phone with Ruby she received a call that Johnny had a heart attack after she told her father that he was dead to her (this wasn't intentional) which led to his actual death. Sean used Ruby for her money, Jake became obsessed with Ruby's welfare and took ownership of that club until she turned 18, so when she did turn 18 she claimed it which led to Jake's departure and soon after Ruby's but not before Sean threw Johnny's ashes at Ruby. Sean was also cheating on Ruby with many girls each night it read multiple!, wild. Ruby tried making all her relationships work, but those people were very bad. Whilst Ruby was away living in Essex she decided to study and eventually own a business in party planning she came across Blake which ended up being a problem. She returns to Walford and meets up with Stacey, she later on gets graped by Matt and encouraged by Ross which leads to a whole showdown and Martin does not believe her (interesting how he disbelieved her before they were even an item) anyway, this causes a feud between Martin and Stacey because he just won't believe Ruby!!. Ruby watched her attackers in court while standing up against them. Also can we just dive into Jay and Ruby's relationship for a second... Jay was lovely to Ruby at the start but then became straight-up nasty disregarding what she's been through and how it made her sensitive to being intimate etc... he said at one point that he wouldn't go out with Ruby if she paid him and then later on spoke to Billy about how much money she has in her account. vile. She later on meets Max and they take things slowly but Jack interferes and Max dumps Ruby, Max knowingly making a mistake decides to give it another go with Ruby but Ruby and her past relationships become sceptical and play Max at his own game then breaks up with him for Martin Martin who she thought fondly of became a distant husband and sometimes a distant father of his children. Ruby felt lonely and went to her baby scans alone she ended up having 2 miscarriages most of the time Ruby had to be her support because Martin just couldn't be there...? I'm sorry, what!??. You're her husband and father of those miscarried children. Now has the audacity to want full custody of Roman to put Ruby through more pain. No! I'm sorry but when life curses you and takes everyone and everything away from you then gives you something back like Roman for Ruby you don't just take the most precious gift away from someone whose life is just damn right dark and full of tragedy, Roman is Ruby's gift. Martin you better drop this act right now!. Ruby experiences so much loss, Jean thought it was only right to use her dead dad to give police motive to set her up for a crime she didn't commit. I get Jean might feel bad now but sorry Jean too much has happened so you can't blame Ruby for lashing out at you knowing that the stress and dealing with prison life could've affected her son's health. Going back to Stacey, a best friend? who used Ruby's identity and stole her money when Stacey could've given Ruby a chance to explain herself about Martin. I'm sorry Stacey but it wasn't Ruby that clobbered Phil over the head with a wrench which led to you running away and then falling out with Martin because Ben used that as a means to bully Martin into doing jobs for him. You were with Jerome. Martin and Ruby were left broken in Walford, Martin was the one who kissed Ruby, They found comfort in each other. Ruby never wanted to hurt anyone, not even you and for a short time she did keep a distance from Martin but when he comes to your place and makes you feel seen and heard when he sees what you've been through and knows where you come from that kiss was going to happen and for a short while their love made her feel safe, loved, wanted. Ruby deserves a romance for once, not a horror story. Let's address prison life for Ruby. Ruby gave birth in prison but before that, she met Chrissy inside who wasn't a fan of her father as Johnny refused to help Chrissy and between them, they had disputes so I'm sure Chrissy gave Ruby a hard time in prison ramping up more stress for Ruby, I think Chrissy and her minions gave Ruby hell inside prison. If Chrissy and Ruby shared a cell perhaps at times she was like a mother to Ruby or maybe Ruby just kept to herself maybe Chrissy and Ruby spoke about Jake a some point which was nice to hear from knowing Jake is alive. When Ruby returned she explained that she lost all her money to bad advice and is living in a small flat which she rents out and that she works in a supermarket, not Tesco? It would be cool to see Ruby work in Tesco to be fair. All of what she went through I still feel so, so sad for Ruby she is an extremely misunderstood character who gets a lot of hate from the audience because they don't know her whole back story, but I hope after writing her life's story that I can change some of your minds. I want to see Ruby being supported by everyone and see that this time everyone can defend Ruby, Like the last time when most people didn't when her actions were misunderstood and taken for malice. Ruby isn't a bad person she cares so much, so let's be there for her let's change the cycle from "defending the wrong people" to defending the ones who are seen as evil but they're just simply misunderstood. Martin is a monster that just wants to hurt Ruby but Ruby has her reasons why she didn't tell Martin, She's put everything past her because her main priority is Roman but also because she's a good person. Let us as an audience persuade Stacey by leaving comments on pages etc... "Support Ruby, Stacey. Martin is out of line" Let's try to repair Stacey and Ruby's friendship. I'm happy Ruby came back to us she is a favourite and Louisa is an astonishing actress give her praise and love x
