The single greatest scene in Eastenders history. @@gemmaaboagye8951 so it is ok for Sharon to humiliate Grant but not the other way around? Actions have consequences, it doesn't matter what your gender is. Why aren't you equally disgusted with Phil being humiliated anyway? Because he's a man he doesn't deserve respect? Women who blindly defend other women's disgusting decisions tend to be equally untrustworthy and deceitful. Good luck with that. I truly hope you don't have sons if that's your attitude.

The fallout from this story was epic - not just in the short term, but long term - Sharon was essentially the reason Grant treated Tiffany like crap during their marriage, Phil turned to booze and Kathy finally ditched Walford. Sharon's sins were still impacting Walford long after she left! She was like the other legendary blonde Cindy in that respect - just blowing lives apart around her, however unlike Cindy, Sharon was somewhat oblivious lol.
@shanefolan4 жыл бұрын
i don't think Phil turning to booze was a result of this;it was more that Phil always had to be the center of attention and when Ben came he got jealous and bitter that Kathy was giving Ben attention. Plus Grant bullying Tiff bad had nothing to do with this either, he always did that to women from the very beginning, sure he did the same to Sharon. And Kathy left because Phil was a Mitchell-he was going to mess it up regardless, that's what he did.

@Mark Lynn Emmerdale's best moments in history was kym related stuff in the mid to late 90s-especially her return from the dead. The Steph Stokes stuff in the mod 00s was really good too. Corrie's was probably Richard Hillman stuff as was the demise of Charlie Stubbs and Tracey in late 2006/early 07 era was really good. I recall the whole nation talking about Charlie. With Eastenders I'd say there's a few to pick from but right up there along with Sharongate would be the kat/zoey reveal in late 2001 and the trevor/little mo stuff. That was epic.
