I haven’t tried that but I just uploaded a new video where I use mod podge on the balloon thread

If you wet the thread as you wrap, it will stick and lay better to balloon 😊

Tiki and Blossom I'm not sure never tried it any other way. There's also the aerosol starch that you spray on clothing that's meant for ironing you could use.
