My Bestie 🥚🥚🥚🥚These reminds me so much of the sugar eggs my mother used to make. When I was a child. I still have some of the wood eggs my grandfather made. I cherish them so much and have decided to split them between my granddaughters. They have loved them since babies and now have families of their own. I also have many many of the wooden eggs from Poland that I have collected thru the years, along with 3 wooden eggs from the Ukraine that my neighbor gave me shortly after I got married! Oh Kathy you bring back childhood memories. I remember my Mom buying these eggs off someone in the neighborhood. They were small about 6-8 inches and made of sugar and decorated with frosting and sealed. You did a beautiful job and the napkin is beautiful.🥚🥚🐣

I had forgotten how my mother used to take a raw egg, very carefully poke a ponhole in it, get the raw egg out by having to gently suck on it to allow it to drip out then after empty, she would clean the eggs. After clean and dry she would paint beautiful flowers or designs on them. She wasn't Polish, she loved to paint and loved how beautiful the eggs were. Thank you for the memory. I think those eggs are the perfect choices to accompany mother hen in her egg nest. Beautiful work.

Oh yes I know exactly how it's done! My parents used to do it too. It's called "blown eggs" in Polish. They looked stunning painted, so delicate and just special...
