The room to the right of l3 stairs is room 14, the way starting from room 21 which is l1 stairs is r,r,r,r,l,l and then you'll be in room 1 which is the other l1 stairs then you will go l,r,r,l,l and then you'll be in room 14, you can also see room 14 in room 9 which is a much faster way to see if there's a egg there and to room 9 is, starting from 21 which is l1 stairs, r,l,l and that's room 9 and you can go right to go back to stairs. I don't know if you've realized this yet but there are room numbers engraved into the portal rooms, those tiles that are different spell out a number and it's a easy way to learn your rooms.
