I multi-app between Doordash and Ubereats. I've had the same job for 12 years so I can only deliver after work between 4-9. I never accept any order that isn't around $1.50 - $2 a mile minimum, and I don't like to drive more than 5-6 miles on any delivery. That system does not allow me to be a top dasher because I ultimately have a 12% acceptance rate, but I can dash now everyday because the area I'm in is super busy for dinner. I keep track of all my estimates on paper as I drive and when my estimates add up to over $100 I usually stop and go home. The tips that come in after usually put me to around $125 per night, and that entire process can take about 3-3.5 hours. On most nights I average $30 per hour. I don't do fast food unless I can go inside, or it's after 7:30 PM, I don't do pet stores, Walmarts, or 7-11's, I will only deliver food. I know who has expensive meals in my area and hover around those places. I usually get in around 10-13 trips per night, and average $10 a trip. The key is to not worry about your acceptance rate, and focus on your rating. Be professional and leave the garbage orders for the other drivers as someone will pick-up the $4 order with a 7 mile delivery. I'm not that dude though.

@@eliesch Thanks Eli, I learned a lot from your channel. Ultimately it was the fear of a bad acceptance rating that I had to get over, and once I did I started to really make $. I have a friend who dashes in a busier area about 50 miles north of me and she accepts everything that comes her way. She's afraid to have a bad acceptance rating and so for that it takes her close to 3 hours to make $50, and she puts so many miles on her car she ultimately renders the mileage write-off as useless. I also don't waste gas driving around, I park in one of my spots and wait. If I get taken out of my zone I will work my way back, using my parameters for acceptance, and if I don't get a delivery by the time I get back then that's how it goes. Although, I always get one on the way back to my area. My best day ever was $159 in about 4 hours and only had 17 miles of driving for deliveries, 25 total miles driven. People in videos and comments focus too much on their hourly rate, and not the rate per trip. Your per trip rate is the best way to show your efficiency. Keep track of your stats and always look to improve.

Lmao I didn't even dash during Easter cause I knew it was going to be slow. And I've always thought its weird why some restaurants have a seperate name on the app, like Chilis has Its Just Wings. Are they trying to avoid taxes or did they just make an online store for doordash.

It's called virtual branding. Chili's created Just Wings to compete with Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. Those two restaurants dominate the wing market. It's a smart move. What's funny is how customers respond to this. Local restaurants do this, too. There's a local restaurant near here that must have at least five different brands.

Its smart but when new dashers get the orders, they get confused. I remember when I got my first Its Just wings order, got to chilis, and I was looking around for the sign that said its just wings. The waiter came out and told me its just wings is a part of Chilis, I was like ohhhh.
