Bull sharks are very strong. I got spooled by one last year - it took all 275 yards of 60 lb. mono and a nice stainless steel hook and black 80 lb. stainless steel leader. Never slowed down. Had my new Shimano Baitrunner 6000 drag cranked down tight. Once hooked, he accelerated away from me and never looked back. He probably didn't realize he'd been hooked. I'm now prepared for the next one. Got a nice Penn senator 114 spooled w/ 100 lb. braid on a Penn Tuna Stick. I'm going to tie myself to the pier first. 🤣

I'm prepared for the next shark I hook, I have the same reel on a beefy tuna rod, 50-80 lb full roller, 500 yards of 100 braid with 250 of 130 mono on top, drag preset to 42 lbs at full, I caught one on my 30 but it wasn't a very big one so
