Great video! I was just wondering if you ever had Easter Bonnet parades for children. This was something we did at school as kids, but I don't see it done anymore. Thank you for your kind message! 💖 We didn't have Easter bonnet parades as such. These were made and worn for school or Sunday school events, in the main. I think Hot Cross buns need to be a part of American Easter celebrations - they're so delicious! Happy Easter! 🐰💛🐣

The egg rolling looks like so much fun !!! Looks like many of the traditions are the same. Like the ham and the Easter egg hunts. Though you said the many people also have lamb. So what are you all doing for Easter? We will probably bake a ham and give our kids baskets. This is the first year we are not making them look for it. We figured at 18 and 20 maybe they don’t need to hunt anymore for their treats 😂.

I think hiding the Easter Baskets on our boys and having them search was our favorite tradition. (Carried that on from my parents and grandparents.) Well, I should say that and the "Easter Ham." Always after Mass though! We did the Midnight Mass on Saturday night. Enjoyed hearing some of the British Traditions. Some similar to here, some not.

Hey gorgeous girls I love Easter eggs there’s just something special about them! I left shopping a bit late this year, choice is scarce.. I can’t remember the last time I had a roast lamb.. Being a mum of 5 I’ve certainly made my share of Easter bonnets… Your little cuties Julie … lovely memories! Lucy has never changed.. Hunts weren’t popular here when mine were little I’ve never heard of egg rolling and that cake sounds delicious… We don’t do much now, we’ll celebrating my mother in laws birthday this weekend at my house though.. Awesome video ladies. I like your traditional easter dinner and seeing the girls dressed up for Easter. We also do a ham here in Canada and in my polish tradition we prepare a Easter basket filled with hard boiled coloured eggs, sweet bread, horseradish, some chocolates, a piece of the ham and decorate around the basket with myrtle …then we take it to church to get blessed. Painting and hiding Easter Eggs, Easter breakfast, with children in the house Easter was always fun and joyful. Now 'just' two adults, I miss the fun and excitement from those days. Traditionally, Sunday before Easter, the Palm Sunday procession, Wednesday evening Mass of the oils, when the various oils for ceremonies like baptism and funerals are blessed and distributed to the parishes by the diocesan bishop. Holy Thursday evening, the Last Supper, and washing of feet. Friday 2pm the Procession followed at 3pm by re-enactment the Crucifixion. Saturday evening or Sunday morning the Celebration of the Resurrection. Then the early morning easter egg hunt, special breakfast and family time. I have such warm and wonderful memories of my Easters of yesteryear. 🙏 💖 🇳🇱 🙋‍♀ 🇳🇿

Friday is our busiest self employed work day. Yes im a catholic brought up christian but there is absolutely no way i can take this friday off! Will reluctantly eat lamb on sunday though. Not a great tradition and im sure it will repeat on me for months, id sooner not. Love sheep and hate the taste of lovely lambs. We dont do sugar or carbs so Easter sucks. ♥️ 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

This was fun. We just got back from England and so we were there over Easter weekend. It was positive and negative. Positive because there were a lot of fairs and special teas. Negative because of bank holiday and nothing was open! 😂 But there were dozens of chocolate eggs to choose from, loads of hot cross buns. We opted for a Chinese on Sunday 😂

I love this, it seems kind of unfair that you have Cadbury, that's a win right there! the Easter cake with fruit and Marzipan looks sooooo good! My wife loves to make little figurines with Marzipan. Looks like both the Britain and the U.S. are pretty similar, but I think Britain puts more of an emphasis on what the true meaning of Easter is, which is great!

But the only other tradition i know is the worship of a 4 day weekend and an awful lot of people flocking to France, Spain for the holiday period. You know it's easter when the news is full (as it has been) of the delays, and chaos at ports etc.

Good question. I think the fact that we have Good Friday and Easter Monday as Bank Holidays says a lot. I presume that Easter is probably the most important religious festival for Christians? I would guess the percentage of Americans who attend Easter services is higher. What do you think?

I think what I would pick from the British side #1: roast lamb #2:roast lamb #3:roast lamb...I may be obsessed a little bit, but I ate it for the 1st time in some country pub on the outskirts of London many years ago and it was out-of-this-world!
