It suffices my saying that this film has for both equally victimized and exploited protagonists (man & boy) a happy and dignified ending that is also according to French Law and, although rare in real life, credible. I do recommend your watching this film on its entirety. It is worthy of one's effort and time spent doing it.

In my country, it happens a lot to vulnerable priests. They are tricked by non-minors into a relationship that they themselves fall into (a mistake!!! let me be clear!) and then they are blackmailed. The priest has to donate property and things to that person in exchange for silence and/or the continuation of that 'relationship'. The things that people do for money!

It's obviously a set up. The man did not know the boy. After a minute or so the boy lets in to compatriots who are obviously going to shake the man down. they will probably threaten him and tell that they will claim he tried to seduce the boy unless he pays them money. I saw this happen in Naples, Italy when I was there with the Navy in the 70's. Classic shake down. A sorry way to make a living. I DID NOT like this film and think it should be taken down. Too dark, to ugly, to hate filled. I would recommend no one watch it.

Wilbur, you are correct. People should see this film if only to see what can happen to them in similar situations. Once I was sitting on a bench in a Naples IT park and four gorgeous young teens we on a bench across from me acting like puppies playing. They propositioned me and wanted to take me to their place for sex for $20. Being overly paranoid, I declined. It's a trick where a enraged uncle comes in with a gun, takes all your money, jewelry and threatens to call the Policia. It's a common ploy used on American Sailors in European countries.

this reminds me of a newspaper report in thailand, A western tourist in Chiang mai had taken a "lady" to the hotel room, after which they both lay in bed.
