Have you ever tried Eastman Guitars? What did you think?

Have a T-486 (335 style), lefty....magnificent (minus some minor stain/finish blems) quality, build and tone...then bought/sold a very nice SB59GT LP style...also had a couple barely visible blems. Overall, great guitars....have gone up in price significantly in last 4-5 years vs Gibson. I'm a 62 years old Puerto Rican...of course I know and love Vienna Sausages. LOL.

@@lazvt8469 I have wanted to own a T-468 for some time now. Sometimes I can't get enough of them!

@@GoodTonesandCoffee If I ever get another quality acoustic (I rarely play acoustics)...it''ll be an Eastman 420CE or something to that effect. My old Martin was OK....wish I'd bought the Taylor I played at the next shop I visited after trading/buying the Martin.

Sounds great. Most of your audience will not care what's on the headstock either. 🎄

I have played quite a few eastmans. My favorite is the e10ss. I am a sucker for slope shoulder guitars and the e10ss is such an amazing guitar. Lots of overtones and very easy to be extremely expressive in sound when you’re playing it. I love it having the addy top paired with mahogany sides and back. You can play really hard and it can handle it or you can play really soft and it handles that beautifully well as well. Someday I will be able to afford one. Wish they didnt get rid of the non-thermocured versions. I prefer to let the guitars age naturally and save myself $200.

Many great new guitar channels lately. Christmas is early. 🎉🎉🎉 My go to acoustic is an Urban w sound hole Seymour Duncan pickup.

Very enjoyable clip! Love me a good Mug story as well. Great demo - Love all things acoustic. You're a monster on the fretboard...make it look super easy and so smooth. Great watch...🎉

Because of my passion for coffee, seems like that is the goto thing for people to gift me over the years. I had to purge a bunch but kept the special ones. Thanks for the kind words! Keep on playing, brother!

Beautiful guitar, great sound, top-notch player! I have admired Eastman guitars from afar as there are no dealers here.

@@autodivision thank you so much! I did the risky thing with this one and ordered it without playing it first. Glad I lucked out.

The cork sniffer in me has to admit you get the same if not better quality from my Eastman E8D-TC as the Nazareth product. At 1/3 the cost you can buy both a mahogany and rosewood for your enjoyment! 🎶🎸🎸🎶

I can certainly agree that when both my former 18 and this are in the same room (the person I sold it to is a friend) I choose the Eastman. Every time.

Like you I also dont need a fancy name on a headstock. My most prized guitar that I own is a yammie LLTA. I upgraded to bone nut, bone saddle, and bone bridge pins. Set it up myself to my liking and put some string joy foxwoods on it and this thing sounds amazing. I will never get rid of that guitar. I do want to add an Eastman e10ss someday to my collection. I want that mahogany guitar to help round out my collection. I have played many Gibby J45’s and have been disappointed in them, but I think thats because I prefer a more modern tone than the flatter classic tones of the J45. That and Eastmans are much more consistent in quality than the gibson. You can pick up almost any eastman at many different stores and almost all of them will be setup well and be made well. I have only run across one eastman that was not setup well. Was actually quite surprised when I did come across it.

There's a guy who has a slope sunburst Eastman (J45 copy) a couple hours from me and I have been very tempted. Looks sweet. I'd love to get my hands on it. I have a very good friend who only plays a red label Yamie from the 80's and it is killer. Nothing to be ashamed of there.

@@GoodTonesandCoffee couple hours away is kind of a big drive, but if you dont mind doing the drive and possibly walking away if it turns out not what you had hoped for, I would give it a shot. There is an eastman e10ss locally I see on facebook, but with the holidays I just dont have the extra grand right now for it. Otherwise I would jump with no questions asked.

For the same price I paid for my Martin x series D1 I could have had a fully finished D18 alike (that the binding doesn't come off.) I definitely should have done a little more research. Sounds Great, looks greats, and from what you say it plays great.

Gigged a lot with an E10ss. Picking up an E6ss-tc-sb for the warmer tone and it feels half a pound lighter….
@GoodTonesandCoffee3 күн бұрын
Yeah that's what I love about this is the warmth. The Adirondack tops seem to lead to a more hifi sound, which is good in some aspects, but for what I wanted in a mahogany guitar, this fit the bill. Would love to see it when you get it!

In Arkansas we call em Vienna sausages but a lot of folks here call them viennies (long i) . Cut mine few days ago feeding dogs (soup can lid). Ouch. Play on.
@GoodTonesandCoffee5 күн бұрын
@@ar70sgirl I reopened the cut later that day while playing and got blood all over another guitar. Lesson learned.
