Nice to see you back. Do you have any tips on how to create that bass trombone like intensity in the low register? I've heard you and Gene do it and it can really improve the sound of an entire band

Haha! Love pro tip #2! I have a similar story to that. So a little bit of context, I played the tuba and my band room at school has tiered layers and the tuba player sit on the top tier in front of the percussion which are in the very back. So one day during band class my friend that plays euphonium who sits on the tier in front of me decided it would be funny if he took off my shoes and threw them to the front of the room. So at the end of class when we are packing up I started walking down the tiers to get my shoes. Carrying a 30 pound tuba down tile stairs in socks was not a very good idea because I then slipped and landed onto of my tuba. Thankfully all that happened was The first and second valve stems were bent and the tuning pipe for the first valve got shoved into the valve casing, surprisingly it only cost $40 in repairs.

Can you do a T&E on the recording and software equipment that you use for your videos? Also, does the Symphony provide recordings for you upon request to evaluate your performance on different equipment? Thank you for all your efforts!

Tim, I may do a video on my recording gear and methods, but it’s really pretty simple. Stay tuned. Regarding the orchestra, they do not provide us with any archival recordings or rehearsal recordings, unfortunately. It would help a lot!
