A warts-and-all review of my Eastwood Classic 12. I love this guitar, and you'll see I'm not afraid to take a really good guitar and make it great.

I picked one up yesterday and just stumbled onto your review. Thanks for it. Although it's used (2012) there isn't a mark on it. The seller replaced the nut with bone, installed GF Trons, and set it up to perfection with flatwounds. When I saw you intonation trick I stopped the vid to check mine out. Sure enough, it's spot on. Mine came in a high gloss cream paint with gold hardware. As a former Rick owner, I am VERY happy with Eastwood.

I have a "lefty" model ("wine")...this review was close to my experience, as well...excellently made, and the "hiccups" you encountered...."AllParts", I think, lists a 12 saddle bridge, but it's PRICEY!! I bought one for mine, haven't installed it yet...I'm kinda "kicking myself" for not ordering the "side-jack" 12,,,it has a tremolo ("Jazzmaster-style).....but, I already have the "Classic-6", so I wanted "twins", I guess.....

I'll bet the Classic 6 is a wonderful instrument. I love the pickups on my 12. By the way, a very inexpensive ($40.00) 12-saddle bridge can be had from Rondo Music online. Here's a link: www.rondomusic.com/product9021.html

Very cool, Doug. The Eastman sounds great, and It was good to hear your voice again. I was interested in your neck modification. Since I like thin necks, I will often file and sand down the neck of a less expensive guitar. I would not have had the courage to do this if I had not been your student. I smiled when you showed the way you took down the top of the head stock to make the guitar fit in a hard shell case. Very nice video.

Thank you, Lou.If you're in the market for an electric 12-string, this (with the mods) would be right up your alley. By the way, I recently found a tune-o-matic style bridge with 12 bridge saddles. I'll probably order it after the holidays and see if it fits this guitar.

Douglas Baldwin ...great video and very informative. Could you post a link for the 12 string individual saddle as I have a classic12 also and the intonation issue bugs me too. Thanks again👍

@@cuptie71 As mentioned in the video, I modded a standard Tune-o-matic bridge (either a Nashville or ABS-1) but it was a tough job. AFTER I did all that work. I came across the Cephius bridge from Rondo music: www.rondomusic.com/product9021.html I would try that first.

I bought the little 12 string Mandocaster and had a virtually identical experience...one or two really minor issues but overall excellent...even the intonation which is tricky enough on a full scale instrument. Nice thorough review. Cheers!

might want to grab a better mic - can't hear much difference as one should. Just my opinion
