“$300 in ten minutes” + drive time to and from + time spent quoting - gas $ for stump grinder and truck - cost of maintenance for stump grinder and truck - marketing - payroll for employees - workers comp (%50 of payroll) - cost of storing equipment (shop). Lots of overhead in tree work:/ Not to say that it can’t be lucrative, but “$300 in ten minutes” is an oversimplification. Love the videos tho! Hope your channel gets to where August and Guilty are at!

My first mentor would have a list of jobs to perform if we showed up to the garage and had to hold out due to rain. Changing out and sharpening grinder teeth was my task. Now retired from treecare, i considered going the stump grinder avenue, but don't have the space for machine storage or even the vehicle for moving it. I had other interests that occupied my time and finance. Who knows, may just some day do it. I'm quite the salesman and specialist in whatever i do.

I don’t think you need the dual wheels on flat ground. They go on and off easily. Im actually looking for a set for my Rayco RG37 but I don’t want to buy new of it can find used. they’re good for hilly uneven ground for sure.
@VeteranTreeService2 ай бұрын
My ground is really soft here. Double wheels save the lawns. The machine weighs 3200lbs. Plus helps it not tip over when driving over large chip mounds. 👍

Your Bandit unit looks nice. I've seen the remote controlled units but I've also noticed that they have that hesitation / delay between the controls and the movement and that bothers me. I prefer a hand lever controlled unit because you can feel your way into tighter spots and feather the controls fairly finely (for the most part). If the customer sees me get a job done fairly quick, I make sure to mention how expensive the machine is and that usually drains' off most of the objections.

You're right about the hesitation. I've gotten used to it. 👍 Thanks for watching!
