Was very easy after following your vid. Repco had the parts to a total of 186.00. The flare nut wrenches and a ratchet wrench came in handy too. Did run into a drama on the slave cylinder with a stripped nut, but there is a set of tools available at Autobarn called the renovator wrench. So what should have been an hours job soon turned to4 hrs.anyway, it’s done now, and really working good. For The next adventure, I have to figure out why there is red fluid mixing with coolant. And leaking onto the ground.

great video, just what i needed toe see before doing it myself. BTW does anyone know why the hose after the Master Cyl snakes back and forth across the engine Bay, what seems like 2 unnecessary beds and 2 pcs 1.2m Long of unnecessary tube.

Thanks. What diameter is the pipe you put over the bleed nipple? I bought a cheap kit that has a tiny tube - no way will it fit over the nipple. I think I was meant to jam in this tapered bit, but I couldn't get it attached.

Sorry for the late reply, I believe it was 4-5mm

@@Finndawg Thanks anyway! I appreciate it. Yes, I used some clear pipe from Bunnings that was 5mm OD from memory. It stretched over it and stayed on fine. Thanks again.

Question for the brains trust. Have turbo'd a standard pd courier. great improvement however engine temp's creeping up too high. Heat shield installed, followed by a new cooling fan clutch. Old one was spinning freely when hot. ( was sure this would fix he temps ). Minimal improvement. Saw one of your clips that you installed a new intercooler. Did you engine temp's come down much? I know your egt's improved however did your engine temp drop?

Not going to lie I have never monitored my engine temps, a good way to combat this would be an external oil cooler. But I'd try find the range which these engines like to run before assuming anything wrong

Just had a quick look at your intercooler clip. Your egt's were low. Big thumbs up for improvement. Do you remember what they were with the standard cooler?
@Finndawg4 ай бұрын
@@Cappuccino-ph7rp Sorry for the late reply, never saw this response. The temps were basically the same with the standard cooler, the difference is how quickly the temps lower when you get off the accelerator. basically night and day, with the big intercooler they cool alot quicker. I guess there is maybe 50-100degrees difference in load temps too.

Is it a common problem for these mazdas? I've replaced that cylinder like three time now if i remember correctly

I've had 3 of these utes and never had this issue previously
