Wow, this just inspired me to start painting again. I'm still not good at it but it inspired me to keep trying it again. This clip makes it look so easy, I had no clue you could use q-tips to paint, and you don't even need a paint brush. I'm definitely gonna try this technique. I just subscribed to this channel.

That q-tip technique is awesome. I usually use a small round brush for leaves. I'll have to try that some time.

Take a few Q-tips and put them together with a little hairband, take a little bit of paint and tap it on your canvas to get the round effect :)

Make some of them more opaque than others. The more faded it is, the further back it looks and it creates depth. This is good for when you want to show the leaves in the back or within the tree. You can do this by putting less pressure to make the color not as harsh. Also, put less details in the back and add more details to the front. As you layer on lighter colors, it’s good to make sure that the shape is more defined than the shape in the back. It’s good to experiment with different techniques to create the look you want.
