Absolutely brilliant Wendy! I bought an large handbag for my forthcoming trip overseas and then found it to be a pain ... one side pocket and no more compartments. I came across umpteen diy purse organizer tutorials. Nothing thrifty about them.. need to be a great seamstress too.. then head to the fabric store... to hell with that .. thought thrifty me. I looked at your tutorial and was a bit confused.. then today my sturdy plastic bag which held 10lbs of wheat flour was finally done... I dusted it out .. cleaned it well and in about 30 minutes ... voila I had a purse organizer!! Exactly using your technique... I agree that it's easier to show than actually explain in words. Truly a brilliant idea ... I've now got pockets for tickets passport, extra virus masks, Clorox wipes for tray table on board; sun glasses.. my mouth guard container... i made side loops and anchored it to the key hooks already on the side of my handbag. I was even able to machine sew through the heavy plastic.. soooo thrilled! Here's a tip for you...When we had our carpet removed and hard wood put it... I found the carpet foam underlay in perfect condition.. I have rolls and rolls of it. I used some to make a purse organizer for another big handbag.. couldn't sew through that. Staples worked well. Holds up perfectly .. more like molded foam.. Holds water bottle straight up.. and lots of other stuff . I also use the carpet underlay to stuff a sagging couch cushion which has zippers.. Holds up amazingly well... and it was saved from going into the trash!

This is so very clever and useful. I bought a purse organizer with 9 pockets and a zipper compartment in the middle to use for my many electronics things. Back-up hard drives, their cables, adapters, iPod, power blocks, thumb drives, headphones, ear buds. You know. All that stuff that you have to have, and just can't be bothered looking for in multiple places. Now, I can split it into two groups: computer, and phones. Yes, I have three, one of which is only for games, not hooked up. One is my hotspot, and the other is for actually using as a phone. lol I never throw anything away until it's dead and unrepairable. I'm adding this to my list of sewing projects for spring. Thank you for sharing!

That's how I feel about you and how you make money with all your side hustling, Q! I LOVE this idea! I just made myself one out of a bag I bought sentimentally in London (where I am from, but I live in the US) at Whole Foods. Another great video that is both useful and resourceful. I would love to know where you purchase your printer inks because obviously there are some scams out there so it would be nice to know where you can get ink for the money
