Love As I and I was, tried Cantu curl activator it was a bit heavy but I like Miss Jessie and the bluenerry bliss line . I use co wash every other time( wash every 3-4 days with shampoo then next time switch to co wash). My hair is a lot like yours. Cool video.

When drugstore products are better than these higher end (cough) deva curl. Hope your hair is fine. Imma stick with my drugstore babies! As a long as you cleanse once a week with a good detergent (can also be Sulfate Free) you’re good!

What’s the difference between co-wash and using a clarifying shampoo?

Cowash is a cleansing conditioner (no suds) Shampoo is a cleanser with surfactants that lather usually (suds) and Clarifying means it will get rid of Buildup -- in general

Love your hair! Thank you for this. I’m a curly who’s blown out straight for decades because I can’t figure out how to style the top of my head and my bangs so they dont fall flat and hang in my face. Plus, the frizz!!! I can’t handle all the frizz i end up with too. I just bought the Cantu curling activator and a gel to try. Any tips on how to get that nice swoop and lift on the top of your hair?

Typically if I apply the amounts that I’d like with products I don’t do much refreshing. And sometimes I’ll lightly rewet areas that need it and apply a tiny bit more product and scrunch it in being careful not to disrupt it too much.

@@IrenesBeautyTimes I see, but so you sleep on your hair, or put it up or something? My hair is similar to yours, but on the no wash days, I put it up when I shower, it becomes frizzy and yucky, not fresh looking like the day you wash and fix it up.

@@anjanettecummings4755 I typically put my hair in a Puff Cuff which is a hair clip at the top of my head - but also can just be put into a lose pony at the top of the head so you dont squish it too much during sleep and it doesnt tangle. I also sleep on a satin pillowcase (nothing crazy fancy - $3 @ walmart) and that helps a ton
