This is such beautiful cooking! Thank you for sharing. I am so excited that all these sauces can be eaten while I'm on Keto!! My daughter has been teaching English to Afghani refugee children, and we are getting so SPOILED with all the amazing foods they share with us! For the Bolani, I'll take a cheat day! Dang, that's good!!

The dish looks similar to Kashke bademjan. I do like roasting the eggplant in oven vs. Stove top. Immersion blenders are a life saver 😊
@AfghanCooks Жыл бұрын
It is almost exactly the same and yes, roasting it just saves so many steps. I've had my immersion blender for 20 years!

I grew up calling this dish “da wor banjan”
@ababb44543 жыл бұрын
The dish looks so yummy! and thanks for sharing your personal pics. I have afghan friends who identified themselves as Tajiks and they have told me Pashtun people are so racist towards other Afghan ethnic groups. How true is that? I had professors in school, who use to blame ethnic issues is the major cause of Afghan war.
@AfghanCooks3 жыл бұрын
You mean the war where the Soviets invaded? I don’t know if Pashtuns are racist because I don’t speak for all of them. I do think there are people who like to sow division and as we can see around the world, it works. But you should make the food!

@@AfghanCooks Unfortunately, this is the World we live in. Anyways, I'm glad you're here and presenting Afghan culture. I'm sure we will learn a lot! looking forward to more videos in the future.

It is the world we live in and we each have to make sure that if we see racism anywhere in the world we call it out and don’t sit by and let it happen.

No. It is a different plant all together. Anar dana is the pomegranate seed powder that also gives a nice sour taste to food.
