He’s been working with them for over a decade and his new game takes place on their homeworld. They have also helped him revive several actors from the dead to be the leads in his new game and they’re buying Microsoft and Sony with space bucks to merge them into one to create the X-Station and Kojima’s game is the first exclusive on the console. It runs at 16K resolution at 1 Trillion FPS (no VRR) and comes with a free Alien TV to take full advantage of the technology. Nintendo, realizing there’s no way to compete cancels BOTW2 and switches to making nothing but mobile games for the rest of their existence.

My idea for a superman game for fighting standard human type enemies or jobbers are just that you can't die and the difficulty would be more of like complete the mission without accidentally injuring civilians and collateral damage. It would be more like a puzzle with combat elements. And I would like an XCOM type mission mode that you have to put out fires all over the world (imagine the mission select screen is just super man flying out to space to have the whole planet in view and you select mission by circling the earth, and it will also heal you becasue you are closer to the sun) and you can't possibly complete all the missions and you have to choose where to go and balance who you help so that countries don't get destroyed. And against other meta humans and super villians you can actually get hurt and it is more of an traditional action game. I think that will make a pretty cool super man game.

I think after Halo Infinite's 2020 gameplay reveal and Cyberpunk's runup that companies don't really want to show that stuff any more. We'll get Starfield before Fable anyhow and we've seen almost nothing of Starfield, so the safe bet is that Fable will not have gameplay shown in 2022

Starfield is BGS, who have a habit for only showing their games off about 6 months before launch. They're pretty unique in that regard. I wouldn't be too surprised if we did see Fable this year, with a 2023 launch date

*My Wild prediction:* with the deal of Marvel and Disney so Capcom may or may not produce more MvC. However, Capcom will continue the future of Capcom Vs. with a major plot twist ... THEY TEAM UP WITH SQUARE ENIX, BRINGING ALL SQUARE ENIX ICONIC CHARACTERS TO FIGHT ALONG WITH CAPCOM CHARACTERS, with the title as "CAPCOM VS SQUARE" and it will be a free to play exclusive to PS5, Steam and Epic Game Store. One more thing: Asura from Asura Wrath and Clive Rosfield from FF16 will be unlockable for WHOEVER PRE-ORDER THE GAME XD

For a Superman game, I would make it so that you can slow time like in FF7 Remake, and instead of traditional "kill dozens of trash mobs then boss fights" situations, it would be more of a tactical puzzle game, in which you could freeze, evaluate what's going on, and then put Superman into action, then freeze again, with the goal of causing as little damage as possible and saving as many people as possible as these battles take place across the city. Like there would be buildings on fire that you would need to stop and clear, hostages that you would have to rescue, and boss fights at all scales, from huamn-sized to kaiju sized.

This is a cool idea but I think the actual implementation wouldn't make much sense and would maybe get too repetitive too quickly. If the point like you say is to evaluate an order of operations to save everyone, what is the fail state. Like what happens if you fail to save someone? Is it game over? Does Superman just incur mental damage that would affect the game through other mechanics? I do like the idea of making it an action rpg like FF7 remake though.

@@librarygary1618 That's the tricky bit. In a "dark" game, Superman would have to deal with that failure, if he failed to catch someone falling, they would just die. But that doesn't really fit the Superman spirit, Superman doesn't fail like that. So I think the best way to balance that would be similar to the "emergency webs" they used in Marvel's Spider-Man to prevent enemies dying if you kicked them off buildings. Make it so that any time Superman "fails" to save someone through legitimate player agency, he goes into a sort of "emergency mode" that picks up the save anyway, but portrayed in a way that he's pushing himself way past his limits, life if his normal flight speed is 200mph, and you can't get to a falling victim in time, he bursts up to twice that speed to catch them, but it pushes his endurance. This would have both story implications, that he would have a burden of not "getting it right," and also could have a cumulative effect, that each time he does this it could drain a bar that if it empties, then *that* would be a game over state. That would allow you to make occasional mistakes without actual story consequences, but make it impossible to just face-roll the entire thing and count on the safety net. It would basically function as a second HP bar. You could also refill the bar with getting things right and with other game effects that would sort of take that load off his back. You could complete the game even with many mistakes, and without anyone actually getting hurt, but you would always be encouraged to get as much right as possible, and could not achieve the best possible outcomes if you rely on the auto-mode to get you through things. You would end up a less successful Superman, just like in a game with a "style meter" you can beat the game without any style, but you're encouraged to "git gud" anyway.

I believe the running theory is that without all of activision's crap (that's the employee stuff PLUS the Blizzard delays PLUS COD sentiment and sales being down), the price for Activision would have been around $100B. This is based on MS paying the same premium (~45%) over the share price that ABK had in January - and it may well have gone up as everything else went up through most of the year. A discount of $30B is... pretty insane. That said, they could easily be spending a billion to really overhaul signficant portions of ABK, let alone if any big lawsuits come through that they end up being responsible for.

@@likenem A port will still need time and resources, and most of that will be spend on Monolith Soft’s new game and support work for other games (BOTW2, Legends Arceus, probably Splatoon 3). This is especially true if they want to add in new content like Future Connected for Xenoblade Definitive Edition. In addition, we don’t even know for certain when Monolith Soft’s next game is coming out. If it releases late 2022 (or even Q1 2023), then it makes little sense to release an X port soon unless we’re seeing X2. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’re seeing X2 for some time. Would I love for an X port to come out this year? Absolutely. I just don’t think it makes sense for their current timeframes set up unless the game is far away (Holiday 2023+). And while it isn’t impossible for that to be the case (I can see the next 3D Mario coming out around that time), I think it’ll come out around late 2022 to mid 2023.

Incorrect. Epic is privately owned and Tencent only has 40%. I'm guessing if Tim Sweeney wanted to sell, he could since he has majority stake. I'm no legal expert so I don't know how that would affect Tencent's portion, but Sony possibly could buy just from Tim Sweeney's shares if Sweeney wanted and they'd still have at least majority in the company. As for how big in gaming Tencent is, I don't know what's your source, but Sony made more money in gaming than Tencent in 2019-2020. Tencent was number 2. Of course, as a whole Tencent is bigger though.

Pokemon Arceus actually looks great. Havent been hyped for it at all, but after the last few leaks this weekend, there are so many gameplay mechanics that level up the series to new heights. real time combat while doding and you can move your trainer around while your pokemon is fighting, but at the same time its turn based combat - amazing. its a camera, and a fully 3d world. sidequestes etc. wouldnt be surprised if its the first game in the series im gonna really enjoy since gen 1, 2 or 3. Conclusion: after the leaks ive seen the last few days, its a buy for me. it wasnt 5 days ago, it was wait for reviews. a couple of other certain buys for me is elden ring and horizon forbidden west. Dying light 2 ill have to wait and see, looks promising tho :p

I am very very doubtful the Kotor remake will be AAA. Don't expect all remakes to be FFVII Remake in scope. Aspyr is tiny and have only made small projects. Also, the PSVR2 will be a premium headset. No way they'll lose that much on each piece of hardware and go something like 300. Facebook was extremely aggressive in their pricing. Sony doesn't need to. And lol Bluepoint just released their biggest game after almost 3 years and suddenly they'd have doubled their employees to be able to make games every 2 years when their last one was "only" a remake? Don't get me wrong, it's possible they'll announce their next game, but Blood's point was extreme.

I think a lot of my issue with it comes down to Temuera Morrison not being a very good or charismatic actor as much as I like him as a guy. It also feels like the writers just haven't given him very much cool shit to do. Still a very decent show.
