Great video! I love the PolysixEX. I have an old Polysix so I'm very familiar with it. The MS20EX is very good too. I really have to say that the Korg Kronos is probably the most powerful synth out there even to this day. Granted there are a lot of people who complain about it not doing this or that. In my opinion, there is still nothing that actually does as much well as what the Kronos does.

Got my Kronos 2 about 9 month ago, shortly before Korg stopped selling those (only Kronos' which are already in stock of retailers are sold nowadays, to my knowledge. No new ones are delivered) Had to choose between a Montage or a Kronos. Couldn't be happier with my choice. I'm mostly into programing patches. But all in all, it the best value for money in this price range.

Now this was a good tutorial I think. And about the question if this is necessary spite all the presets - defintely YES. Cause as I've checked all my 1500+ presets - these kind of raw analog sounds are definitely missing! Loads of presets are drenched in effects and too much of everything, even with compressors to sound modern. But the ancient analog sounds were often pure and simple. If you go your own route and maybe even switch off effects completely both engines will offer the required rawness and simplicity.

Too many parameters. It’s like programming on a photocopier. The Fantom is so much easier with its simplified purpose-built interfaces for specific synth emulations. Even tho Kronos has the MS-20 and Poly-Six interfaces, they are still subject to the tabs and tabs of other parameters that affect the sound.

Come on dude...I feel like I need to cover one eye and keep one leg off the bed to keep from spinning while watching your camera's anti-focus feature.

subbed. i own a korg kronos 2 - 88 keys since the 2015, from the beginning, its underrated............difficult but if you see inside of that beast its one of the best thing you can buy

Very helpful video, there is quite some shortage of material on how to fully leverage the power of the Kronos for those who are not necessarily pro music producers. Thanks Alex! Can't wait to see more videos about your workflow

That was great. I'm not too bad say with using my DeepMind, but always found it difficult with lots of menu diving. This has shown me how to navigate much better. Thanks.
@Dibubba
Thank you VERY MUCH for this, Alex! I’ve had my Kronos since 2012, and I learned more about it from your video than in all those years! 👍🎵

The first sound reminds me a lot of the the OB-Xa Eddie Van Halen used on "I'll Wait". Very nice video/tutorial.

Thank you for this. It can be quite intimidating at first but now I know it won't blow up on me when I'm fiddling around on it. 😂
