Can you see if you place slabs on the area I instruct to place torches if it fixes the lighting?

@@RealJayden It does not, bedrock has a weird thing where light shines through half slabs.

guys the farm workes amazingly use any blocks you want i personelly used wood and cobblestone and spawning like crazy

6:03 i recommend using sighs instead so mobs dont get stuck

On the first layer of mob spawning my 15 stacks of block fineshed ahh...... I take 3,4 hours to gather all resources

It shouldn't necessarily be on the ocean, it's just more convenient. To reach max mob spawn efficiency, you have to be 128 blocks above the highest block in a 128x128 block area.

@@minecraftbatz5161 Take note, the blocks he gives out in the video are insufficient, especially the building blocks, get extras for every material needed, and get 10 more stacks of your main building block as well.

@@vini-ji8ffmost tutorials will do a 2x2 pillar with 4 hoppers instead of a 3x3 for this reason. This adjustment should allow you to reach the back creepers. You will also save on gates too lol

@@jennifernakatani83 just had an idea, since im rich in gates, could i make a column that went into the spawn chamber on top of the center hopper? Then i could reach all the sides

It might be too high. The stairs will help slow down their fall but you can use ladders right under the stairs to help slow down their fall. It might take 2 hits to kill them instead of 1 lol

great vid and thank you! I put the carpets in all the correct spots but spiders are still spawning, also the spawn rate is kinda slow. Any tips?

if you wanted to go overkill, can you make more than 3 layers of mob spawning platforms?

You could but it won’t get you that many more

@@sheep8751 there is a max amount of mobs that will spawn. Doing more layers is just adding a wider area for the same max number to spawn. It won’t give you “much” more if any. It might even slow down your farm as it gives your mobs more land to hang around on before falling into the water. Or at least that’s how other creators explain it.

you dint put carpets, cause spider dont get funneled by water

make sure you didnt build the farm above a river biome, you can just see this when you press f3

@@Nick-79 what do you expect? mob farms are supposed to be starter farms, go build a silverfish xp you get 40 levels in 1 minute, for now you have to gather resources to make that use this mob farm for gunpowder only not xp, you want xp? do oozing farm by bigbooty, do silverfish xp farm by basicredstone, do enderman farm by bigbooty, yes?
