Thank you for showing the basing process. Really helpful, particularly for those new to 6mm figures. Just one suggestion, which might help with the narrow space between front and back ranks. I tend to make my own slightly more watered down white glue mix and just tilt the base so that gravity does the work and the mix runs down the middle. Still allows the sand to adhere perfectly but you don't tend to get sand on the figures. Just a small comment - very much appreciate you taking the time to show this.

Thanks for doing the video. Have you tried dyeing your sand with a dark wash first? It'd seemingly save you time and effort by avoiding a step.

The ‘foundation wash’ also covers the mdf base and the base parts of the metal figures. So, you’re not saving any time by pre-dyeing the sand.

Could you recommend other static grass that can be used?

A very short static grass should do the trick. Perhaps 2mm or maybe 1mm - do they even do it in 1mm? More important is the colour, which you’ll need to choose carefully to match the theatre and time of year you’re gaming.

Yes, 1mm static grass is available, as well as in the "patchy" static grass form. eBay has plenty
