Finally someone made a video about this coating…I just bought a 50 ml haven’t tried it yet..also recently ordered a couple waffle pads, 1 wool pad and gold standard polish from diy…my question is you get a nice enough finish using gold standard with the wool pad that you don’t need to go back over it with the waffle pad? Also I heard you can cut with the wool pad and then pop on the waffle pad to finish without wiping in between for a super quick 2 step have you tried this ?
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 7 ай бұрын
Niceee!!! Everything you have stated I've done tested and true 💪. As for the two step with the gold standard do a test section first on the worst part of the vehicle. Do that section once you know how many section passes you need for your result you can polish the entire vehicle don't need remove anymore the polish apply polish on your waffle pad and finish off. Very important that method works best in a garage if it's hot I don't suggest it. Just polish 2-3 panels then wipe off or do your second step right after as if it's too hot will dry up the polish. The wool pad you saw live. Finished down super nice no need for a second pass. Only time I'd be careful with this wool pad is black paints as you may leave a slight haze which is much more visible on black paint vs lighter colors it's none existent really 💪

Thank you bro. For sure!!! Check it out this far it has been great to use. Exactly as you said same thought in replacing spray coatings as it looks easier to apply than spray coatings too. Also rated for longer durability. My guess is after opening you have maybe 2 months or a month and a half to run through it. I don’t know shelf life after opening. You’re a business too. So doing 2-3 vehicles using this in a month is very easy.

@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 6 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah I would go with any other wash prep and coat as usual. Do a APC rinse, contact wash, decontamination step if needed with iron remover and clay towel and water spot remover to ensure you get rid of all those minerals. Now if the dealer detailed it and has some ceramic sealant. I recommend a polish not to correct but to actually remove the protection left behind then panel prep and coat. 👍 I will link a video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2Pdl4aBjddkmKssi=7uahcPSUJnnhiWvv

Great video! How long do you think it would take before leveling if applying in 80-90F temps? Garage does not have AC. And would most likely be working with the humidity as well.
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 5 ай бұрын
Thank you. I would say. 10 minutes max is a good window. 5-10 minutes max remember the higher the temp and humidity will settle and need to be removed faster. Just wait until you feel the wipe of is good. If it's hard to wipe off apply more coating wipe off immediately. Move to the next section apply and wait less time until you find out the perfect range 💪

As i wash the vehicle every couple of weeks can i apply turtle wax paint sealant on top of EzPz once its fully cured? Thanks
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 5 ай бұрын
Hey Gregory. Yes that is fine you don’t have to top it every wash either. Turtle wax spray sealant is strong too in itself. Just apply it once dry on the paint after it’s fully cured. Then from there just use a regular detail spray with no protection or paint gloss from P&S you don’t want to cake on protection constantly as you’ll get streaking eventually

How does the wool pad work on the infamous soft gm black paint? What does your process look like? Do you need a second step or is the wool pad good a cutting and finishing? Thanks for your awesome content and tips!!
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 7 ай бұрын
To be honest on a GM paint this will work but you will definitely need to finish down. Unfortunately as an enhancement unfortunately the way I go about it. Would be 2 section passes with wool and 2 section passes with a rotary and finishing pad. That equals to 4 section passes with nice cut and glossy flawless finish!

@@99zman no I do not unfortunately. This is the closest thing on how I got a great enhancement with practically 6 section passes 3 with a compound and 3 with a polish. As sometimes people do 5 section maybe 6 on a paint enhancement and still have less results and impact especially on medium to hard paint. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2WaiaVnZ8eaaNUsi=rXpF-tCfZ76IIckm

Have you worked with EZPZ on a white car? If so, can you still see rainbow effect or can you just let it sit a while because of the work time and not do it by sight?
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 6 ай бұрын
Yes I've done it on a white car you can slightly see the rainbow effects. Definitely a lot easier on a cloudy day for sure. But no worries it has a very long work time so no need to worry about it. Just time yourself after applying you can wait 8-10 minutes and will still not have an issue to wipe. 💪

So when using standard gold polish no need use compound or it depends on the paint situation? Sorry im a rookie in detailing
@DetailingMadeSimple
@DetailingMadeSimple 2 ай бұрын
Exactly as you said depends on the paint situation. The gold standard won't cut as a true compound so say if you have hard clear the gold standard won't be the best. But if it's medium or soft paint the wool pad and gold standard combo will cut amazing then swap to the yellow pad as a finishing step. Or just do a one step I know it's confusing but I have a video on choosing the right polishing pad. Watch that video the gold standard polish is just like the polished I used in the video. 💪💪💪

This type of range depending on size of vehicle in my area is $600-$800 remember it's an express polish where we remove 30-40% of the swirls and scratches then it's a one year protection.

Do you have a whole lot of experience with the specific coding recently ordered it based off of some sales are going on in my interests and the ethos brand in general however I watched a video of another KZbinr and he showed his update after about 2 to 4 weeks and it appeared that the coding was already starting to fade pretty harshly he mentioned that he thought that maybe a clogged really easily or that he didn't let it cure long enough wanted to see if you had any opinions on this or not as I like the pricing is coding and it looks like it's super simple and easy to use but if it fails after several weeks then I don't think that it's worth it

What do you use for both tire dressing and tire coatings?
@DetailingMadeSimple

I’m not a huge fan of tire coatings the only one I used is BLAK. That’s the product last a good 6 months. Tire dressings I use a variety they all pretty much last the same time. We are talking tire dressings here not tire sealants. DIY Tire Lotion, ADS Tire conditioner, Labo Nero, Drive Tire and trim gel, Carpro Perl etc all will give you 1-2 rainstorms or 2 weeks perfect weather/1 rain storm

@@derrickabare9986 yeah I love the rotary to. Especially for that extra nice gloss. We use the rotary for these 3 cases. If we are doing a two step my wife and I use the rotary for cutting and finishing as a two step. Cut with DA and finish with rotary. Or if it’s a brand new car with minimal scratches and marring just finish with a Rotary to make that gloss pop. DA is great for efficiency just get great cut with no holograms in one step. But that’s for the people who budget can only fit a one step 😅
