Good afternoon Donna and all the Jordan fabric family, This is one bright quilt that just says look at me and would be the one to add life to a boring room. I happen to love rainbow things because they do bring a big smile to my face and to an awful lot more people as well. ANYTHING handmade whether it is a quilt, curtains, cushions, clothes, jewelery, what ever, it is made from the heart and is always a unique piece because of the person who went to the trouble and time to make it. It is lovely to know that although we may think of you as god like in your talent, you are only human and just like all of us, you do unique things. Don't beat yourself up (i keep getting told that little nugget when i am scrapping the floor with just how could i have done that), you are a human being and if you hadn't pointed it out i wonder how many people would actually of noticed. Keep being the kind and beautiful lady you are flower and we will continue to be blown away with your wonderful skills and talented hands. Sending crafty hugs across the big pond, Norah, Glenochil Village, Scotland

This is why I would name this quilt “Don’t Worry, Be Happy!” It’s a very happy-looking quilt, you are so right Donna. Even priding myself on having an eagle-eye, it would’ve taken me years to spy that quarter turn. Because it in no way changes the overall design, it’s truly unnoticeable. And I so agree: *never* point out your “intentional design elements” to others. Keep them as your own Maker’s Mona Lisa Smile 😊! Beautiful giveaway quilt, lucky recipient. ~Diana K.

I love the Plaza Quilt! And the mistake? I love that as well. The same thing happened to me back in June 2021. I was making a Disappearing Nine Patch for a friend according to Donna Jordan's pattern. I placed 2 of the patches incorrectly and didn't notice it until I was completely done with it. Oh well, it will have to stay like that forever! And did our friend like his quilt? Nope. He LOVED it! He had no idea I was making this for him and he was so surprised and happy! His wife loves her quilt too.

It is a beautiful quilt, loved it when you said to try different colors. We all often go to our favorite colors and this is just so much fun to go off that safe road and go bold colors all over. Love the backing as well. I had to laugh, I was screaming to my screen.........."Donna turn that block around", my husband came in, what are you doing?? I said: She is missing a layout mistake....... He "Oh just like you had the other day" hahaha the quilt is perfect and so nice to have it extra long. Thanks for keeping the little layout change in the video, makes us all human....LOL Keep up the great work and have a nice weekend, Love Klasien

When I first started quilting many decades ago, my Grandmother answered my question about why there was always one square or something in her quilts. She explained that it's a very old tradition called a modesty or humility mark. It keeps us humble and always working to improve. I responded, "Oh, you mean it's a way to justify your errors?" And she laughed and said, "That, too."

Another beautiful Calico Carriage quilt! I love your choice of fat quarter colors on this one. Just a word on the “oops” events: I have usually caught mine before the quilting, and sometimes have had to rip blocks out of the middle and re-stitch them in, or reverse whole rows. Yours doesn’t even catch the eye, and only makes the quilt more unique! Thanks, Donna, for another great video! ❤️

What a wonderful cheery quilt, Donna, really impressive with its bold colours and stunning backing - and another wonderful tutorial also, enough to encourage any of us to have a go. Really reassuring also that you show us the 'mistake' you made, so the rest of us striving after perfection know that even really experienced quilters like yourself occasionally have a stumble... When I was learning to quilt (by hand!) many years ago, we were told that quilters should follow an old tradition of humility (from Arabic rug and carpet weavers I believe?) and insert a deliberate mistake into every work, 'because only God is capable of perfection'... And it's true that you sometimes see what looks like a very obvious mistake, usually in the bottom righthand corner, of some old quilts... But personally, alas, I make enough unintentional mistakes that I've never needed to follow that tradition!

This is a beautiful quilt, Donna showed how it can be so easy and stress free to make. Can’t wait to make one, and at the end when she pointed out that she’d made a mistake it pleasantly surprised me. Love all the quilts Donna makes. Your a great teacher Thank you for sharing.

Yes Please! It's amazing how a different choice of colors changes the look of a quilt pattern! Thanks for another awesome tutorial - what a great pattern with two very simple blocks!

Great quilt Donna!! You have to speed quilt to keep up with us demanding quilters. It’s no wonder that you have a goof now and again. I love the solid colors for a change and you could put it out for Halloween or fall.
