One day I went to fools gold but the moguls were so icy that we hiked out of the second part, double jack was better that day so we did that instead.

Sidewinder at Canyons is a great transition black diamond run from the top of Tombstone Lift. Normally grommed but not groomed everyday. A fairly easy black diamond. Some great steeper blue runs with good falllines are Mercury off of the Iron Mountain chair, Lookout ridge off of the mid station of the Orange Bubble lift, and Apex Ridge off of the Super Condor lift. Have fun out there

Local B&G! LOVE these videos. I've got a family trip planned for March 6-10, staying at the Canyons, and would love to say "hi" or buy you both a beer if you're around! It's great how you mix things up, move around the resort, and have such a great attitude. One hint, for you and EVERYONE who posts any ski videos: put the date of the shooting of the video in the description! (and where, but you already do that!) It would seem you post on the same day you shoot, but maybe not always! Thanks!

I susbscribed because Local Boy is in a freeheel kit. Proudly a doob here. Free the heel, all that hooey. It's just more fun, and fun is the point, isn't it? Anyhow, I'm at PC this week. If you have tips on two points, please share: 1. A strategy in a low-snow time? Maybe go high when possible; looks like King Con isn't running. 2. Best way to get to and from Canyons, namely, take the gondola or just use the shuttle bus?

a ton of the "double blacks" there are super easy too. (I'm looking at you, Berg's bowl!) Motherlode meadows is pretty decent though, spent a lot of my time there, and in the trees next to it waiting for jupiter to stop avalanching...

I mean, on what world is BERS'S BOWL a double black when it's on the same mtn as some of this other shit? Though if you're new , you can definitely do it easily.

I was on Fools Gold in 2019 (by accident.) I was terrified! I might ski better now, but every time I think I could do it reality sets in (what was I thinking!)

I bought a pair of “ slingshot “ skis 150’s to keep up with my kids on mogul runs - they turn easier, but my weight and age have me favoring NO MOGULS !
@winterblanct39952 жыл бұрын
@@garyford6227 my age is a problem too. It’s hard to lift the skis up! I want to say I can ski all black runs but I can’t because there are many black runs with moguls that I have to avoid.

I won’t go up 990 with my kids. I take the lift next to it and ski the steep smooth runs. I’m doing good for being in my 60’s. I get a kick out of kids like local boy- reminds me of when I was his age skiing - THOUGH I NEVER DID A FLIP and I always avoided trees- trees don’t move and they always win whether skier or automobile.

I don’t like mobile runs. I would like to see many mogul runs eliminated and instead have waves created to ski over. It would be much more fun. I actually hate moguls. I wish the signs for ski runs would have a squiggly line underneath the name so that people like me could avoid the Mogul runs. Downhill “ waves” would be much funner to ski , If they create mounds of dirt to make moguls they could create waves of dirt - new idea maybe , but waves would be great .
