Nice idea! If the company owning the app uses their own storage for the photos, it makes sense to go with a subscription model, imho, unless they make the money some other way, like collecting and selling user data. Someone's gotta pay for that space and bandwidth. At least they have the free option, even if the ads are annoying. I suppose someone could pay the subscription for the time a circle is most active, say from pre to post production, and then switch to unpaid access when things have cooled off and the media is there for archiving purposes. Still, $1 a month (if I saw correctly) shouldn't break anyone's bank, especially since marketing is such an important part of a film's success.

you don't need to do this through google drive, in google photos you can create this sort of centralized album from multiple users.. you just have to share an album with whoever and they can add photos to it as-well... there's no need for another app since google photos is already installed on all android phones..

Oh, I'm sure there are several ways to do this, but this way will work across Android and Apple devices, which makes it more convenient.

For the purpose of collecting photos in a central place that the group can easily access, this is way more streamlined. But you can use whatever you want.
