EXCELLENT! I just cooked this for 11 campers who would be on the river all day. I have a reputation for being a very capable camp cook but THIS one got me seriously rave reviews! Light and fluffy, filling and very flavorful. A very nice change from a traditional thick, heavy "egg bake" type breakfast. I used a combination of sausage, ham & bacon. Took about 25-30 minutes to cook in a standard 12" dutch oven. (an extra 5 minutes to really crisp up the top) Will DEFINITELY be making this recipe again (by crowd request). Next time I'm making two though!

@Cowboy Kent Rollins: Very American! You are cookin'/livin' the Dream!!! Often you do and say things that take me back to the late 50s. In Appalachia come winter after the tobacco crop was harvested and curing in the barns, the sorghum cane would be ground and boiled down- the horse would go round and round- the fiddles would play, singing, dancing and kids playing games! No one took a knee 🇺🇸 and life seemed simpler. You remind me of those days- I thank you for it. God bless America & God bless you!

I’ve learned a lot from your videos Mr Kent not only your cooking outdoors which is the most interesting too me because I am a full time RVer and 73 years old! I inherited cast iron from my mother. Some I’ve restored using your methods, the Dutch oven has been my best cooked meals out in the “wild” as I boondock a lot. On my meager income I do substitute some ingredients, but follow your lead wherever possible. Worked for years as a cook at a summer camp in Montana, serving three a day for 250+. Little old fella from Arkansas came up and volunteered to do our breakfasts for a couple of summers and brought this way of doing breakfast casseroles with him. Works really well for big groups, works with leftovers of all kinds, extra biscuits or hash browns or whatever ya got.. Thanks for the injection of Southern cookin', Kent, and for any Northern recipe doubters... Lemme just say that a white (preferably sausage) gravy covers over a multitude of sins.
