I first learned this queen pawn endgame from the chess website and he taught me a very easy way to remember when it’s a draw and when it’s not. So a stalemate results in both of the players having HALF a point. So when the pawn is on the H, A, C ( the C was straightened into an l ) and F file, it’s a draw by stalemate most probably. And if the pawn is on other files, it’s a win for the side with the queen.

These are great things to memorize. Even as somebody who's experienced with chess (I've played mostly casual OTB games with stronger tournament/club players most of my life), these aren't things I've memorized (well not all end game stuff at least) and I'm fine without time because I can determine the logic to them at that time, but under time pressure I've really screwed stuff up, even as a relatively expeeienced player. Good content for most skill levels, even if just to brush up on stuff. Please keep up with end game and opening vids. Loving your content.

Excellent video, I'm using this to teach my son of the Queen vs Pawn endgame. At 1:44, I think the white queen can just take the pawn instead of bringing the King near the Pawn. However, the defending King may go to e4 instead of e5 in which case white needs to bring the King. Just an observation.

Love your video's a lot. Nice and instructive. hoping for more endgame stuff. If I wish something was different. I would wish moving just a bit slower when showing the moves on the board, specially when showing involves takes. I guess with more training, I will see it faster. But not all of us see what is about to happen in 0.5 sec or can grasp 4 moves in 2 second. I guess I am a bit slow but not stupid :) just need a little time to see the positions and the development to get it :) Very nice content with all these gambits too... Love it.
