hahaha me too, me too. It's the worst! Especially when you've done about 20-30 frames and Premiere crashes just before you hit save. Oohhh that pain! Thankfully, if you do it like how I did it in this video, you don't need to edit it frame by frame. :) Thanks for watching!

You are my top 3 favorite KZbin Tutorial. I may have to upgrade to premiere. I currently use a MacBook Pro and iMOVIE, not sure if I can do that with the free software. If you could do these type of cool effects for free software. But I think I’ll upgrade to be cool like you!!

Aw, thanks Santos!! You just made my day, and considering it's 1AM, the day only just started! I don't know if you can do this in iMovie, I'm afraid not. Maybe in Davinci Resolve? I'll give it a go when I have the time and let you know. You can totally go for the trial version. You'll get 30 days free to see if you like Premiere. I don't want you to spend money if you don't have the budget for it, but if you do, it's definitely worth it. Final Cut Pro does seem to work better on Mac.

LOG is a picture profile that is very flat, which means you'll have more dynamic range which means you have more freedom in grading in post. I'll make a video about this in the future :)

Hi, really good Video. How about the timing for the interaction with your clone?Do you have any Tips?

That's a great question! I started with filming my "real" self, so the one that's in frame the entire time. Then, I filmed the first clone who brought a glass of water. Because I already did my "main" shot, I kinda knew how much time was in between my reactions. To be sure I filmed myself a few times actually, one faster, one slower, so you have some wiggle room. Lastly, I filmed the clone that came out of my bedroom and that one was fairly easy. Another little cheat would be to keep your motion limited, so you can do a little jump cut without seeing it (in case your response is too late). If you don't move around too much, you could get away with this without seeing a jump! Long story short (lol), film every clone a few times, one slower, one faster, so you have wiggle room in post to make sure it looks seamless! I hope this makes sense, if not, let me know and I'll try to explain it :)

After that you have a reference to that how the clone shall Act. Now you can act as the actor who plays the clone( wow, thats Sounds confusing😄)After that u can do all the Post editing. How could you make the first clone grab the glass of water the second clone put on the table? (and drink it)

In that case I would film the person who brings the glass of water first. And then i would film the person on the couch drinking the water. After you put down the glass, you can change the mask. This way you won't move the glass which means that the transition between the two shots is seamless.

Hi Sudheer! You can enable the "mask path" (under mask settings in the effects control panel), that allows you to change the shape and position of the mask throughout the video. So the moment the character points to the first person, you can change the mask and make sure it follows the hand so the hand won't be cut off anymore.

I'm looking for help on yt...but can't find it anywhere haha I go over myself in shoots, but I wanted to take the time and mask it all frame by frame...Finised it for a few times and noticed that everything changed...probably it's because I deleted some of the points using "free draw bezier" example: for a hand I needed like 10 points, then deleted them when she got out of the frame...and I think that then maybeeee messed up everything...what you think? :)

Hi Patrick, yes, you shouldn't be deleting any points on the mask. Keep the points and just move the mask out of the frame or cut the clip and remove the mask in the next clip.

sounds like you forgot to click on the stopwatch :) make sure it's blue so you can create keyframes :)

if you plan out your shot, you don't. It was actually really easy.. took me maybe 10-15 min :) Maybe start with an easier shot, like sitting or standing next to each other. I did this in an earlier video "why I was missing", maybe you remember that. Very bad acting though, be warned hhaha
