Easy Cricut Mother's Day Subway Tile

Cricut Brand Vinyl - I am so glad you mentioned it. I thought it was just me. It’s not just you! I HATE Cricut Vinyl. I have wasted hours of my life using it after spending money on SO MUCh of it and not wanting to just throw it out. It’s so hard to work with in comparison to other brands. The transfer tape definitely does not pick up the vinyl well. I started using it in 2019 and it was fantastic back then. I don’t know what happened within their manufacturing process but after that first good batch, it became a nightmare to use. The only thing that makes me happy about it is looking forward to the the day I finish all the Cricut vinyl I have! All new vinyl purchased is from Oracle or other brands.

Love how these came out... I hate the circut brand I use the clear shelf liner from Walmart they also have it at the dollar store.

Omg yes! I hate the cricut brand it never cuts right, you'd think if they have so many complaints they would redo their vinyl somehow 😕 thanks for the tip, ill try some shelf liners

You are not the only one that doesn't like the cricut brand vinyl and transfer tape. I have not had any luck with using it. I love, love 431 vinyl and transfer tape which I use all the time.

Love these!! Have you ever used a ceramic subway tile that isn't smooth on the backside? Would you recommend sanding and then painting it... The front of the tile is white marble and the back it tan and awful looking.

I havent used other subway tiles, but I have used smaller tiles to create coaster, I have a video of that 😊 and what I do in the back is use cork to m add ke it look better and not scratch. Hope this helpd

Beautiful & easy to do. I have to make 30 of these for my sorority sisters, the 4x12 is the perfect size to me. The hardest part is finding the right tiles that aren’t too expensive. Could I cover with clear resin to seal?

Oh wow you have your hands full. I bought mine from I think Menards or Lowes, they were like under $2.00 each. I did put Polly on some of my tiles but most of them I didn't. I never used resin so I can't say for sure

If you use permanent vinyl it should hold up for years without sealing 😉 happy crafting

No, but I will be looking into StarCraft sound like a computer game I use to play lol. And craft fair was meh...I learned a lot and had a great time with my girls, but didn't make much. Thanks for asking 🥰

Fantastic video - thanks for sharing.... and nope, it’s not you with CRICUT Brand - from the 100’s of tutorials I’ve watched, I’d say 90% of people won’t use the brand for vinyl or transfer tape. I’ve only recently purchased the Maker, so I bought black and white vinyl from eBay to practise with - though I have to say I’m pretty impressed with it ♥️ .... New sub from Australia - cant wait to give this a go.

I hate cricket brand vinyl and transfer too. I've never had good luck with it! I get the hobby lobby brand and have had no issues at all.

These came out really cute. My next project to try. I love love Cricut brand. That is basically all I use, but I do have a question....I thought the strong grip was only for glitter and the regular transfer tape was for non glitter?

I use Siser easy weed & Oracle 651 (?). But I get the Cricut Mystery Boxes sometimes so have some Cricut stuff. Using painters or masking tape helped me a lot.

The tiles turned out cute! The strong grip transfer tape is only good for their glitter vinyl. I'm not a huge fan of the Cricut vinyl or tape.
