Crystal I started to make this beanie and the yarn I was using didn’t give me the results I needed. So instead of frogging my project I continued with the beanie and converted into a hat. Thank you for the tip to give the brim a different look. You inspire me to try new stitches and so many projects that I would just not adventure into.

Very pretty and easy. I made one with Walmart Mainstay blanket yarn. Its a bit too tight for my head but I made it for warm up America so its fine. Thank you for the tutorial!... update: Just finished another of these hats using a 6.5mm hook with 5 wt bulky yarn (Caron Tea Cakes) and this one fit me fine.

Crystal I made this with the Super Bulky #6 and it fit perfectly with the 48 stitches. I’m on round #9 with the bulky #5 yarn and the 60 stitch count is too big. How can I reduce the stitch count accurately? Thank you!!! ❤️

You could go down one hook size, or if you don't want to take out any stitches you can decrease on Rnd 9 taking away 6 stitches making your count 54

Crystal I see most beenies made using the front post back post at the brim. I lost most the use of my left hand several ago and the way I have to hold my yarn I can do front I think but back post would be a problem. Is there another stich you use that makes a nice brim. Thank you for all you tutorials. I have recommended you to several people. You are slow enough to see what to do with very clear instructions.

I am using premier puzzle 5 bulky and a J hook.. and added the round and I noticed a few rounds later, it is way too big? Going to tear it out and omit that extra round I guess.. :(

Worked out perfectly! I used Wool-Ease Thick & Quick with the 6mm hook and had about 24" of yarn left! Whew! Lol. Great pattern! It was fun and done in a couple of hours for me. I'm gonna add one of those fuzzy balls at the top for cuteness. Thank you for sharing with us! It is truly appreciated!

I made this hat for me and my hubby in a bulky 6 weight and I love it . I used hometown I use a 6.5 mm for my hubby and it fits him great and I made mine in a 6 mm and mine fit great to. ❤🎉

Very nice instructions Crystal! It's so easy and simple to follow. I actually made a crocheted hats last holiday season which has a very similar pattern but did it the other way around and it still ended up gorgeous. I liked how you made something so complicated so very easy and even begginers can and will make one of these with no issues or whatsoever.

I have to go up to an 8mm hook for a mans hat. I used a 7 mm and not big enough for 24 inch head. The directions are very clear and easy.

Crystal, this is so lovely worked up in Hobby Lobby Ivory Tweed. Thank you so much again for your time and splendid tutorials. You are so easy to follow, even when a pattern might be a little difficult for new crocheters, such as myself. I was able to work this up without any difficulty and I am so happy with the results. I will be crocheting a matching scarf. I think I am going to start working these up as Christmas gifts for friends and family with scarfs in matching yarn.
