if you do the single crochet row in a multiple of 6 instead of 10, it comes out even. then you wont have to skip over extra double crochets on the fan row's corners. this is a gorgeous border. thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial.

Thank you so very much for sharing this. I just finished this border on a C2C blanket using the traditional stitch. I used the Red Heart with Love Renaissance for the whole body, and then the Caron One Pound in Ivory for this border with a J 6mm Hook. I did the sc and the DC rows of the border with the Renaissance, then the Ivory, Renaissance, then ended with the Ivory for both the last fan and the last row with the chain lace stitch. So very happy how this turned out. I think it just looked amazing with the yarn I used

Beautiful. Just found you and subscribed to this and your new channel. Good luck from a very dull and wet Belfast NI. FYI.... I have a tall Holly tree right outside the front of my house. We've kept control over it so that its tall but not overly broad, it's a very nice shape. It is ALWAYS loaded with red berries...... such a delight to sit at my sewing machine downstairs on this wet morning and have this lovely tree to enjoy. It is a food supermarket for all the little birds. :).... Just a little picture from my window. Keep safe, I wish you well during this pandemic. Crochet hands link us across the world:-).

I love this border. I made a crystal waves baby blanket, however not corner to corner. How would I finish the last row to make it square on all 4 sides to add the border?
@CrochetForBaby4 жыл бұрын
Here’s the link to the stitch where I show how to do the last row kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ65gGpupdF6q68 Once you do that just do sc all around. Start with one corner and work your way all around. There is no right or wrong way of doing this row. The important thing is to have the same number of stitches on the sides and top/bottom. Make sure the corners are done in the same way I mention for the border. Here’s a little cardigan I did with that stitch. You can see how I did the sc rows on each of the front panels. I hope this helps kzbin.info/www/bejne/govcXmeaaK-inNk

@nannynutter1005 жыл бұрын
My problem was I couldn't keep it square it kept going a funny shape if you know what I mean😊
@CrochetForBaby5 жыл бұрын
Yes I know. Same problem others were having. That’s why I’m going to make a full size blanket to make sure it works up correctly. So far it’s working out great with ch2 instead of a ch3 before each fan. We’ll wee how the decreasing side works out. I’m going to try with ch3 instead of slip stitches.
