if you do the single crochet row in a multiple of 6 instead of 10, it comes out even. then you wont have to skip over extra double crochets on the fan row's corners. this is a gorgeous border. thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial.

Thank you so very much for sharing this. I just finished this border on a C2C blanket using the traditional stitch. I used the Red Heart with Love Renaissance for the whole body, and then the Caron One Pound in Ivory for this border with a J 6mm Hook. I did the sc and the DC rows of the border with the Renaissance, then the Ivory, Renaissance, then ended with the Ivory for both the last fan and the last row with the chain lace stitch. So very happy how this turned out. I think it just looked amazing with the yarn I used

Beautiful. Just found you and subscribed to this and your new channel. Good luck from a very dull and wet Belfast NI. FYI.... I have a tall Holly tree right outside the front of my house. We've kept control over it so that its tall but not overly broad, it's a very nice shape. It is ALWAYS loaded with red berries...... such a delight to sit at my sewing machine downstairs on this wet morning and have this lovely tree to enjoy. It is a food supermarket for all the little birds. :).... Just a little picture from my window. Keep safe, I wish you well during this pandemic. Crochet hands link us across the world:-).

Thank you so much for your video! I am feeling like such a idiot tho lol I have "stich mental block" I had completed a pattern and finished off with sc before I found a border I liked, yours of course. So I now have been trying to count my stitches to make sure my top and bottom and then the left and right sides are equal but I trip myself up counting the corners. Soooo I am just going to try and wing it and pray I am not frogging half the night. Man do I feel like I should be hanging up my hooks!

This is so stunning and beautiful! Do you have a written pattern? I would love to do this border but the blanket I want to put it on makes it hard to distinguish what I should do, outside of counting every stitch. I heard where you said each (opposing) side should have 30 or 40 (equal amounts). I feel like I missed something. Thank you so much for any help!

I love this border. I made a crystal waves baby blanket, however not corner to corner. How would I finish the last row to make it square on all 4 sides to add the border?
@CrochetForBaby
@CrochetForBaby 4 жыл бұрын
Here’s the link to the stitch where I show how to do the last row kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ65gGpupdF6q68 Once you do that just do sc all around. Start with one corner and work your way all around. There is no right or wrong way of doing this row. The important thing is to have the same number of stitches on the sides and top/bottom. Make sure the corners are done in the same way I mention for the border. Here’s a little cardigan I did with that stitch. You can see how I did the sc rows on each of the front panels. I hope this helps kzbin.info/www/bejne/govcXmeaaK-inNk

Me encantaría volver hablar contigo. Bueno espero que segamos en contacto y que volvamos a hablar pronto y así poder ponernos al día después de tantos años. Besitos

Hi. I like the wave border for granny square blankets. Here’s the pattern kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqS9laeYiNxkg9U just look in the information box or comments on how to finish the border at the end. I also like the border I did for this blanket which you can easily add to yours as well kzbin.info/aero/PLiGQpEa3IKJ9-5xQeUZQ-96eqhSfd67vX

Beautiful! Is there a way to add multiple layers of border for added affect. Like crocheting this same border again from behind?

Yes sorry. I took it down until I figure out a better way to work the decreasing side as I was getting lots of comments about it. I’m working on a baby blanket and will upload the video as soon as I finish it.

My problem was I couldn't keep it square it kept going a funny shape if you know what I mean😊

Yes I know. Same problem others were having. That’s why I’m going to make a full size blanket to make sure it works up correctly. So far it’s working out great with ch2 instead of a ch3 before each fan. We’ll wee how the decreasing side works out. I’m going to try with ch3 instead of slip stitches.

So between every fan , there is a single DC. Right?

Hello Love this border but was wondering is there is a slow version on this tutorial

Glad you like it but I don’t have a slower version. Y ou can however slow down any video here in KZbin by clicking on the 3 dots on top or the settings wheel at the bottom. Maybe this will help. Thanks for watching.

Is there any changes what would have to be made if I were to use this border in a single crochet blanket?

Love this border! I'm trying to find a pretty border for a granny square blanket though and don't know how I would make this work for that 😔

If you single crochet all along the outside as your first row then you can start from the second row in the video as normal. Just remember your corners would be sc,ch1,sc

What size ribbon did you use? And what brand of yarn? Also how large was your final product?

I've just completed the border. I used 6mm ribbon, this fits nicely between the trble/dc. I used double knitting with a 4.5mm hook and overall blanket size is 40ins
