Very nice. I like the airy, lacy look . It’s nice to have a Springy sweater that’s warm enough for when summer and the ac comes on.

I have Big Twist Soft yarn on hand and for my first Cardigan I am going to try this pattern. This yarn is soft and not fuzzy it's pretty light for acrylic yarn. I think it will make a pretty cardigan. The color is Blush can't wait to get started.

Thank you so much for the video. I made mine with Bernat Super Value Yarn in Teal Heather. Had to adjust the size. I used a size 6 hook and chained 132 plus 2. Worked up perfectly.

@@krystasimmons8611 in her first comment she gives a link for instructions on her website. It states the same thing as she does in the beginning: start with a chain that measures from your hip in front, over your shoulder, and to your hip in back. It’s pretty easy to make any size from that.

could you tell me how many inches were left open for the arm holes and for the neck opening Thank you love this for the simple elegance of the pattern so many possibilities with changing up the yarn Thank you for sharing
@AllCraftTV7 жыл бұрын
Linda Giacomozzi The cardigan folded over is 26inches long (1 rectangle in length is approx. 52inches), and I left about 10inches for the arm hole. For the vest sew both middles sections up to about 21inches (if you want a bigger opening sew to get a larger v-shape you can make the inches smaller). For the cardigan just sew one middle side closed for 21inches. Thank you for your kind words and I hope this information helps 😃

how would you do it in a plus size 2xl

So I should Chain as many chains to go from the front hip to to Bach hip. All in one.
@AllCraftTV6 жыл бұрын
Marika Mclaughlin Yes that is correct. Just make sure if there is a ch multiple that you use that as well so that the pattern will work.
@keishahill9496 Жыл бұрын
Wait so if you are supposed to fold it shouldn't the chain be longer? Because I'm working on it now and the chain you said in the beginning isn't accurate to what I have now. When I fold it it's to my stomach.

I love this pattern so much!! Trying it now with cotton yarn as a matter of fact. Roughly how many yards did you use? ^_^
@AllCraftTV6 жыл бұрын
Jessie Moto I used roughly 850 yards for the cardigan made with 12ply acrylic. I am not sure how much it would take to make one in cotton.

For the summer yarn do I have to do more Rows to fit if so what rows do I repeat to make it fit
@AllCraftTV6 жыл бұрын
Marika Mclaughlin You might have to repeat rows but I suppose that will be trial and error depending on the yarn :) If you do need to make it wider because you are using summer yarn, repeat row 8-15 the Granny stripe row until it goes from your shoulders almost to your sternum then do row 16 onwards

What is the hook size and the is there a written pattern for larger sizes like a 1x and 2x Please
@AllCraftTV7 жыл бұрын
Linda Giacomozzi I used a 6.5mm hook (sorry don't know the conversion off the top of my head) and I haven't done a written pattern just yet as I have been busy with my university exams. I will put one up after my exams are finished. But in the meantime if you chain in multiples of 3+2 and then check that it is long enough by holding the top of the chain from the front of your hip over your shoulder and then to the back of your hip with the bottom of the chain it should be long enough for you.

@AllCraftTV7 жыл бұрын
brain storm I chained 144 + 2 for medium to large but if it isn't long enough etc. just add or take away chains in multiples of 3+2 until it fits your size :)
