I probably am subscribed to over 50+ KZbinrs that teach crocheting. Out of those 50+, you by far are the best teacher there is. You not only talk us through the projects, but you take the time to explain and show exactly where the stitch goes. I’m sure I can speak for most of your subscribers by saying we appreciate all you do for us. My only regret where you are concerned is the fact you are not my neighbor. You sure would be the best neighbor to have. 🧶

There are several crocheting KZbin channels that I watch, and I feel like I'm learning a lot from all. However, what I really like about your tutorials is that you really have a very clear view of your stitches. Sometimes the stitches are hard to find, but the way you point them out by sliding the yarn needle thru the highlighted stitches is extremely helpful. It has really helped me to look for the stitches more. Also, I love your personality... so upbeat. Really refreshing to listen to. Thank you for sharing your talent. I am really learning a lot. Thanks, Janet

I've been crocheting for a few years, picking up the activity that my mother taught me when I was little, teaching myself everything beyond single & double stitches. I've relied on KZbin & tons of tutorials with a handy "dictionary" of stitches to reference. Your method, however, with slowed spots, exact visual references, & the option to refer to a more in depth tutorial is by far most pleasing. There are plenty of projects when the basics are given too much time. It's like being in high school, but taking too much time for a pre-k lesson, and I get impatient. But when it's something new to me, you still manage enough clear direction that I don't feel lost & frustrated. Thanks for sharing!

My grandmother my mother we’re both extremely experienced in crocheting, knitting and embroidery and she tried when I was younger to teach me to crochet and knit but being young I was all about what other people thought about me so I didn’t really try but now I enjoy it maybe as much as my grandmother or mother so having passed away I wish they could see me now I think she would really be happy so thank you for your guidance in helping me learn crocheting and who knows maybe when I get good at crocheting I’ll try my hand at knitting.

I'm makeing this blanket, with Lion Brand Mandala. It's a #3 first used a H 5.5 mm hook. It looked tight. Not smoth. So I started over with a I 5.50mm hook. It is better ,but I think I will have to block it . It is hard for me to block because i don't have room. And cant stand long.other than that it is going well. Thanks for the tutorial. I LOVE this pattern, mainly because of how you explained it. The only thing I did differently, and solely based on personal preference, was at the beginning of new rows. I used a "Standing Double Crochet" (SDC) instead of a chain 3. So, in the Shell & Candle Rows, I did the SDC and then went straight into the 7 shells. In the Cake & V Stitch Rows, I did the SDC, chained 3, and then did a Double Crochet all in the same stitch. And again, that's only because of my preference. Once I learned the SDC, I never used the "Chain 3" again for a starter Double Crochet. Thank you again soo... much for taking the time to demonstrate this wonderful pattern. God bless you and yours. Stay Safe.

What a fab pattern & excellent tutorial Christa!👏 I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally start making a Cakes & Candles Baby Blanket!🎂 My wonderful hubby always encourages me to buy yarn, even though I'm on a yarn ban... what a gem!🥰 I only wanted some sparkly yarns for my mini Christmas Advent Stockings, but Mandala yarn was on sale too, so I bought 2 cakes in girl colours for this blanket & 2 cakes in boy colours for another blanket.... might make the round granny for that one.😜 So much for my yarn ban!!!😂🤣😂 Anyhow.... thanks, as always Christa!👍 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
